What are you talking about? Maybe you've had a few too many "tabs of meth".

"“Use of marijuana for chronic pain, neuropathic pain, and spasticity due to multiple sclerosis is supported by high-quality evidence,” one of the reports found."

    http://jama.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx?articleid=2338266

"reduces nausea, and vomiting, and pain, as well as spasticity, a panel of researchers conclude, after reviewing a total of 79 trials."

Why argue the point, for every pro doctor or study you can find there is a doctor and study to refute the claims :) The two arguments are most likely older then you are, and both sides are dishonest and full off bullshit :)

THC doesn't do crap for chronic pain, just because some pot head says it does doesn't make it true :) And I would think in a clinical study a doctor would administer a dose and then "ASK" the subject "Wha's your pain now from one to ten, ten being the worst and one being no pain", so what stops a liar from lying ;) Even at that, give the same guy hit of morphine and ask which one relieved the most pain and he wont say the THC did ;)

    Is Marijuana Harmful?
Like I say, you can find just as much negative research as you can positive, but the real answers will come out years from now when people real numbers of Guinea pigs start showing symptoms. The problem is the potency level, the cannabis everyone says is harmless was that "All Natural" stuff back in the day, now it's all concentrates, laced with Butane and other chemicals used to leech the THC, today a old fashion roll up fatty can't even get the new and improved pot heads off :)

You didn't post a study. You posted the effects/side effects of marijuana use. Drugs always or almost always have the potential of negative side effects. That doesn't mean they have no efficacy as medicinal treatment.

Here are the side effects of oxycontin:
Tell your doctor if you experience serious side effects of Oxycontin including

Notice that death is on there? I'd say that those are far worse than the potential side effects of marijuana. You literally can't consume THC at a fast enough rate to OD and die. That alone makes it a great option for people who want to use it recreationally or medicinally.

Morphine is not used to treat chronic pain except in extreme situations. Typically in hospice care. Comparing morphine and marijuana doesn't make any sense. If I have chronic back pain due to degenerative discs I am not going to take morphine and go about my day. The comparable perscription would be something like vicodin.

Let's look at the side effects of vicodin:
    COMMON side effects

    • Altered Interest In Having Sexual Intercourse
    • Chronic Trouble Sleeping
    • Hives

    • Fast heart beat
    • Dry eye
    • Red eyes
    • Vomiting (very rare)
    • Cough
    • Postural hypotension (dizziness)
    • Psychosis

Marijuana is an established treatment for chronic pain. You can claim whatever you want, but the people who study medicine disagree with you as well as the thousands of people who use it to treat their pain. I think I'll go with science and medicine over some guy who smoked pot in the 70s.

Feel free to link actual research about how marijuana does not effectively treat chronic pain. If they exist.

Ummm, you obviously don't know many Asian Americans. Some of them can really party (including drinking and taking drugs).

I've smoked and eaten pot. Smoked it puts me into a time warp, eaten puts me into the carpet fiber. My favorite drug today is Scotch. Which, come to think of it, is a rather long term progression. I had to use Oxycodone (sp) for a spell for surgery, hello carpet fibers. But, that was just me. Others?

If any of this stuff is a gateway to Lala land, I don't know. I seems that one's environment, especially one's peers, might be large influence. Perhaps even larger than addiction at first. It appears a significant amount of addiction comes from prescriptions (Older White Folks Drug?) so that's a problem. I recently read an article that argued family doctors could be the first line of defense, especially with youth. I like that one.

In my darkest moments, I see the whole thing as a game with innocent bystanders being run over. Drug suppliers and distributors sure don't want to kill this golden goose. That's a multi billion dollar cookie jar. Law enforcement has a lot more fun in drug interdiction than traffic court. All those neat guns, jackets, I.D. cards, and prison uniforms are an undeniable draw. And, of course, the power thing. And the budgets!! Looked at it this way, there's something for everybody.

Are you claiming that smoking marijuana increases the probability that someone becomes a mass murderer? That's just outrageous. You are too much.

LMAO, no your post is though :)

I'm sure these are acceptable forms of side effects in your world, well until they involve a mass shooting and then we can all read how Mental Evals could solve all the U.S. problems :) In the mean time lets encourage psychosis with a substance YOU clearly posted that has those side effects :)

Yes it is, thanks for posting them LOLOL

They have their authoritarian statist agendas and you have yours. In the end, we get lots more big government.

So, your opinion is drugs medicinal and/or recreational should have no negative side effects ever. That seems reasonable /s.

Here is another example of how you are wrong: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/19/...click&contentCollection=Health&pgtype=article

A marijuana based drug is going to be approved by the FDA for epilepsy treatment.

Nope I just have issue's with agenda driven hacks that clam they're/some are less harmful then say a pharmaceutical ;)

Seems Psychosis, Anxiety, Panic attacks, Depersonalization and Derealization are the effects good drugs are born of :)
