What do you think of the old rule, no white after Labor Day? I think it is okay, as long as it isn't like summer clothes. I can see wearing a nice pair of white jeans with a fall colored sweater, such as burgundy or maybe forest green and accessorizing it with a scarf or something. Also, you could wear them with a jacket. After all, what about winter white? So, is white okay after Labor Day?
I'm a guy and when I was a worker bee the only time I adhered to the white 'rule' was with leather (shoes and belt). I don't know how strong the rule is for women but I'd say it's o.k.
White boots? White tights? You can even wear a white dress or skirt as long as you pair it with a sweater and some fuzzy tights!
These fashion-rules are for pretentious no-lifers (go kill yourselves). Wear whatever you want. White is a great colour for any season, although I have to say white pants are a "big boo" for me. At least on men.
Doesn't matter in the least to me. Not that superficial... So long at whatever color, is draping a rockin body..... (See what I did thar?)
I am going to be a rebel and wear white this winter. It is just some snobby tradition started by some rich snobby elitists back in the 1800s anyways. I often wonder why we still abide by some of their silly "rules."
I did not even know this was a thing. I don't think it applies for anywhere but the US. Women have been wearing white winter-jackets and other kinds of white clothing for ages here.
White jeans/chino look super sleazy and semi-gay on men though imo. I bought white chinos once a couple of years ago for reasons unknown and did not even wear them once. A very light grey or beige might work though. To me, white is kind of a feminine colour and on men, it only works for shirts and sneakers. Scarves, headwear and jackets etc, no. Generally speaking, that is.
It was probably more a don't wear white in wet weather seasons because it will be hard to clean mud stains out of white kind of logic.
. Lol. Told you white looks gay on men. Oh God. That outfit looks like something worn by someone who'd say "my pronoun is zir, thank you." (I like his shirt though).
There is so much wrong with this picture. First of all, imo, that shirt is way too open. It is okay to leave it one or two buttons up, but not three or four. Then, he is wearing his watch on the wrong arm (blasphemy) and that "man"-purse is just ridiculous. Why would a man even need a purse? Phone, keys and wallet easily goes into your pockets (but, I assume not in those skinny fit *** pants). The pants are white and I just don't think white pants look good on men. His shoes are awful - a friggen bow! Really? Is he a seven year old girl the first day of school or what?
Does Labor Day fall on a specific date/day of the week? Is there one Labor Day in the year? I know UK has a couple, called Bank Holidays, and they're pretty much always on a Monday or get called something different like Boxing Day which is 26th of December every year (Day after Christmas) and it's like a Bank Holiday.
