Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said in a new interview that there was no evidence to suggest the novel coronavirus was manufactured in a laboratory.

Conspiracy theorists have, without evidence, linked the outbreak to a research institute in Wuhan, China, and have suggested the virus was developed there and accidentally released onto the public.

But in an interview published in National Geographic on Monday, Fauci said scientific evidence was "very, very strongly leaning toward" the conclusion that the virus originated in nature and jumped from animals to humans.

There're still honourable people around Trump for whom the truth is more important than anything.

Just the opposite of Trump, who much rather hire incompetents and lackeys whose main quality is to admire him.

Fortunately, science will eventually win against ignorance, political motivations and incompetence.

Unfortunately, given Fauci's financial connections to the lab, his voice on this particular subject is no longer authoritative as he has a literal financial incentive for it not to come from the lab but from bats. He might be right, but he's not the one that can release that information. Here, I do appreciate if Congress requests documents/intel from Pompeo.

Believe Trump and Pompeo but not Fauci and WHO? We are living in the twilight zone.

What do the Wuhan whistle blowers have to say about the origins of the virus?

    What was this project about?
    https://andymaypetrophysicist.com/2020/04/25/nih-payments-to-the-wuhan-institute-of-virology/

Where did this paper come from?
    https://andymaypetrophysicist.files.wordpress.com/2020/04/paper_funded_journal.ppat_.1006698.pdf

The evidence points to the NIH engaging EcoHealthAlliance from 2014 - Apocalypse Day to pay Wuhan to do work that was banned in the US. Who heads the NIH?

What part of 'believe' is in my post?(Hint: It's nowhere.) I said that Congress should simply request from Pompeo, the intel he cites for what he stated with regards to the lab.

    Fauci a scientist.

So, by definition, a dangerous globalist with a liberal anti-Trump agenda.

He should be replaced by Pompeo, or better yet, by Stephen Miller.

I thought he was head of an allergy department, now he's a scientist, a doctor and the head of the task force! I swear, just replace the names Fauci with Mueller and we have the task force in a nut shell.

He knows a hell of a lot more about virology and epidemiology than any of the tinfoil hatters spreading this conspiracy theory. Any of them.

No, he is not the "head of an allergy department." Yes, he's a scientist and a doctor. Where do you guys come up with this stuff? Are these the marching orders coming out of fringe-right am radio these days or something?

Which is why parading this fool around has been so annoying. There are doctors on the front lines(you can see their interviews on youtube) and frankly, you learn a lot more.

Well, I could respond or I could just simply say look at the OP. No "marching orders", I just happen to actually pay attention.

Fool? He's one of the most-cited epidemiologists in the world. He's developed treatments for previously lethal diseases.

Trump and the conspiracy nutsos have been wrong about a lot more. "The vaccine industry" is busy working on saving lives, despite the tinfoil hatters trying to frustrate their efforts. And, no, he isn't a "whore" for any Wuhan lab. He's far from useless. But there I go letting silly things like facts and reason ruin the fun of conspiracy theorists who never were really willing to consider things like evidence in the first place.

Your main criterion for assessing the competence of a scientist is that he or she is pro-Trump.
