I binge watched "Hell's Kitchen" and "Chopped" on YouTube recently. I don't have cable as I don't watch tv enough to warrant it. I haven't really seen any cooking show that I didn't like or learn from (even if it's a lesson in what NOT to do in the kitchen . What are your favorite/least favorite cooking shows? (Past or present)
The competitive shows are all I generally watch but they are really set up. Things like being told how to act and stuff. There is a good series on Youtube of a guy who cooks over campfires and makes everything from pizza to filet mignon and he never speaks or shows his face, just some pop up words to tell you what he's doing. He's from Ukraine or somewhere out that way.
I love the competition shows. I learn something in every episode. Top Chef is probably my favorite. I'm currently watching Top Chef Canada.
If you like Gordan, watch his reviews of Tiktoc cooking videos. The man is hilarious. Master Chef is also Gordan, but a lot less screaming.
If you ever have time you should look up old video of Gordon Ramsey when he was a working chef. You can definitely see how he was strongly influenced to be the way he is. Funny to see him being the one getting yelled at but it shows that he has definitely been on both sides.
