My favorite scene has to be the opening scene of Jaws. You know...when the shark ate that swimmer and pulled her though the water like a bobber. Scared the heck out of me.
The opening scene of Gladiator, Battle of Germania. I've always loved Roman history and to see an actual batttle recreated with modern day sfx was badass. Even though I know it was Hollywood and they screwed it all up to make it look cool. Opening scene in Saving Private Ryan. One of the best scenes in cinematic history. No holds barred, no PC, no censors. Showed how it really was on D-Day. Powerful scene. Shower scene in Starship Troopers....nothing really significant here. Dizzy was hot and so well...yeah lol
The end of the "Το χώμα βάφτηκε κόκκινο" film It involves a shootout between a rich land owner and a "thief" (actually an army deserter) on Meteora , both men are gravely wounded so the thief crawls next to the landowner and says "look at the valley bellow and tell me how much of this land is yours?" ( Και τώρα Ρήγα... κοίτα χαμηλά κάτω τον κάμπο και πες μου! Πόση γη είναι δική σου; ) before thy both die.
My love for Harold Lloyd's work has not diminished one bit after all these years. I can give you many examples of some of his best scenes. But this one is my favorite - the ending of the hilarious movie "Speedy":
My personal favorites. Unforgiven, when William Munny goes into the saloon to confront the posse forming to look for him. Warning, graphic language Brando's rant in Apocalypse now. The final scene on the bus from the movie, "Midnight Cowboy." No matter how many times I watch that scene, it always gets to my heart.
