Along those lines . . . http://www.alternet.org/story/150730/one_surprising_reason_people_may_believe_
Interesting article. Thanks for sharing! Here is my favorite. ** WARNING ** It is Penn and Teller. There is going to be language unsuitable for the more tender members of this board. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcrF346sS_I
Do you ever frequent any of the forums that house truthers? I would recommend: http://letsrollforums.com/index.php
They vehemently embrace 'no planes' and laser beams from space. Things you have labeled as 'disinformation'.
But if they're promoting theories that you don't believe, no planes for instance, how is that helping to find answers?
How is supporting the no planes theory "trying to find answers"? I'm really curious what kind of answers that particular theory is searching for. I, personally, find that particular theory to be one of the most outrageously impossible theories posited by the Truth movement.
'No planes' theories are 'out there'. They are. As does that space beam one I've heard mentioned. That seems oddly like something incapable of being suppressed, let alone in America. I mean, what did everybody see...? Though I am open to persuasion that the planes were different...
And this conversation has now proven my point. Truthers don't care which "truth" anyone believes as long as it fits their agenda. RWAF has a serious problem with the US government, and thus is trying to overthrow the government through sedition. This is the same modus operandi as most truthers.
That's pretty much true. The 9/11 Commission can speculate about a few points in the report, fully admitting that that is what they are doing and it means to truthers that the report is a "flawed BS fairy tale." David Ray Griffin can speculate from top to bottom on his ridiculous voice morphing nonsense even though the inventor of the technology says it would not work in the fashion Griffin claims, and truthers think that that is worth considering and doesn't affect Griffin's credibility at all. Balsamo can claim that no plane hit the Pentagon and he "proves" it with data from the FDR that was recovered at the Pentagon but doesn't correct for barometric pressure in his reencactment to "prove" that the plane was too high and truthers see no issues with this. Gage can do just stupid things like dropping cardboard boxes to scale of the towers to "orove" that the collapse could not have happened the way the "government" claims yet truthers see no problem with his credibility. Here is a list of many more. http://www.sawyerhome.net/whatilearned.html
Funny that everybody discredits folks who are counter OCT entirely, yet they use the same standards to "prove" their own ideology is valid. Your website rocks...mine's s*it. Every single time too! You're always right, we're always wrong. Oh...and plus...we suck. Fantastic civil debate......NOT..
WE don't discredit them. They discredit themselves by blatantly lying. You couldn't even defend the lies and ended up telling your own that you couldn't defend. See the difference? Probably not. Maybe if your (*)(*)(*)(*) sites didn't lie so much people might believe them. Truth hurts, doesn't it.
If they post known misleading information, what is it I am supposed to do? I believe you have been misled. You believe we have been misled. It is up to the intelligent reader to arrive at their own conclusion. I believe your sites contain FAR MORE speculation and less evidence than sites supporting the "official" version as you like to call it. I KNOW many truther sites engage in quote mining and half-truths. Do you deny this? I never said you suck. Keep reading and decide for yourself. You seem to be getting defensive as if your mind is already made up. I would encourage you to keep reading stuff from BOTH sides and if after all of that you still think the government was behind it, well, at least you did the research.
Well if you are going to copy the methods of flat earthers and young earth creationists, what do you expect?
Great disinfo application there. You guys are good. Maybe Bush wasn't as stupid as he appeared?? He got this disinfo campaign kicked into high gear. So much dancing, spinning, and irrelevant straw men and information....Up is down , down is around....great work guys...
You are doing it again: 5. Sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule. This is also known as the primary attack the messenger ploy, though other methods qualify as variants of that approach. Associate opponents with unpopular titles such as “kooks”, “right-wing”, “liberal”, “left-wing”, “terrorists”, “conspiracy buffs”, “radicals”, “militia”, “racists”, “religious fanatics”, “sexual deviates”, and so forth. This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label, and you avoid dealing with issues. Stop that, and deal with evidence.
You can't beat 'em.....join 'em? Can't fight "official" misdirection any other way so...hey..may as well stoop to their level and enjoy the entertainment. Mission accomplished sir.
