    Crap, I came into this thread by mistake. I didn’t realize it was for anti American, pro open illegal alien and open border supporters.

    A number of these border vigilantes are using "patriotism" to rob and murder to make their own armies and cash and drugs.

    The rest of them don't try to stop these criminals even though the criminals loudly proclaim their, so few of these "patriotic
    American" do ANYTHING to "make America great".

    They don't care. They hate Trump so much they'll destroy their own country just to spite him. Problem is this is our country too and not only are we armed, but the military is and they love Trump so when the **** hits the fan, good luck to them. They should stock up on body bags. They'll need them.

    I agree, felons should permanently lose all their constitutional rights. I'm surprised you agree with me on this actually, kudos.

    Wait what? I thought the left was against summary executions by law enforcement?

    Presumably he didn't try to shoot the arresting officers or he'd be dead. If he puts his hands up and officers see he has a firearm, should they just extrajudicially execute him on the spot?

    Perhaps you meant something else.

    The castle doctrine doesn't give you the legal right to shoot just anyone. If you have just exited a bank carrying a sack full of money and a shotgun you don't get the right to shoot bystanders making a citizens arrest.

    They might have been able to legally stop the migrants if they had gotten permission from the landowners, and were acting as security agents on behalf of the landowners.

    The laws in that area are very liberal in granting landowners authority to use a gun dealing with trespassers.

    Most of the landowners in that area are very fed up with the situation.

    Another option might have been for the state to sanction an official volunteer to force, probably put them through a basic training program.
    Of course the particular state that this happened in here was New Mexico (which is a pretty aptly named now) and they are very happy for more illegal immigration.

    New Mexico does not judicially, or constitutionally recognize that doctrine. NM has a "stand your ground law" that applies only to your home. Illegal aliens have no protection on land they do not own. Illegals are not permitted to possess firearms in NM.

    Leader / member is irrelevant IMO. The fact is the members didn't police themselves. As a result the whole group is stained, and LW gun regulationists have a new slogan, and poster boy. No one I've seen has lit upon the fact that no one was arrested for UNLAWFUL DETENTION.
