Biggest run up of deficit during Obama Administration and what his Administration spent wasncirrually a waste of our tax dollars. Especially the Health Care PPACA.

I few years ago Lefties bragging about their economics degrees were lecturing us as to how deficits were good for the country. Of course that was when Obama was pulling in $1T deficits. So what is the problem? ;-)

Another Trump lie about reducing the deficit.

    The 2018 GDP was the best since . . . 2015 . . . not the last 12 years.

    2010 $14.992 $15.599 2.6%
    2011 $15.543 $15.841 1.6%
    2012 $16.197 $16.197 2.2%
    2013 $16.785 $16.495 1.8%
    2014 $17.522 $16.900 2.5%
    2015 $18.219 $17.387 2.9%
    2016 $18.707 $17.659 1.6%
    2017 $19.485 $18.051 2.2%
    2018 $20.501 $18.571 2.9%

The problem was that the GOP said they were bad, then did the same thing as the Dems.

It's called hypocrisy, but that is nothing new for either party.

Nope right as usual and the Democrats took back the Congress with a great economy and a year before the recession began and THEY took the deficit from that last Republican $161B to their $1,400B.

this is the 5th consecutive post where you have failed to address the deficit. fyi, after the great recession obama did reduce the deficit even though the growth was not ideal.

Why do you keep pretending only who is President matters when it comes to the deficit? Why do you falsely assign the 2008 and 2009 deficits to Bush?

Obama was part and parcle to taking the deficit from the Republican 2007 $161B to the 2009 Democrat $1,400B and keeping it over $1,000B for the next three years. It was Republican sequester and austerity that brought it down not Obama or Democrat policies.

Congress controls the budget why do you assign deficits solely to who is president? That shows a distinct lack of understanding how the budget works and the history of this budgets.

They took the Congress a year before the recession, passed nothing to help mitigate it and their huge stimulus totally failed to get us into a full recovery and we wallowed for years.

Of course, you don't want to talk about the last time the GOP supply side, tax-cutting experiment spectacularly failed. That's why you continuously post cherry-picked statistics based on time frames that fits your agenda.

You bet I get angry at that kind of deception that you and couple of other Trump fans engage on here all the time, for example comparing growth with state variables, as one of the favorite tools, clipping x-axis to the time frame best suited to make Trump look good, or clipping y-axis to magnify effects. Any of those would get you thrown out of publication, if you were trying to publish a scientific article. On the internet, this behavior is apparently perfectly okay to spread the Trump propaganda.

You know, by doing that you are not really any better than the MSM you decry. Propaganda is propaganda, whether it is from a big-money sponsored media outlet, or from an anonymous forum poster doing their bidding as his own hobby.

No he was just a contributor as a Senator who supported and voted for those Democrat budgets. Pelosi and Reid share the most blame.

Not by anything Obama and the Democrats did in fact their failed stimulus wasn't even in effect when the recession ended and failed to get us into a full recovery so we wallowed for years.

Things that are off-topic? Of course not. If you want to talk about something else, find the appropriate topic. Today, thanks to Trump's innovative approach, we find ourselves in the best Debt/GDP position in 7 years:
How is the best GDP in 7 years a "failure"?
How come what is good for the American People and the American Worker is viewed as a "failure" by the Extremists, Socialist, Intersectional Left?

    Remember, we are ALL Americans!

The economic trend has been on the same unchanged upward swing since 2010. Nothing trump has done has had any effect on it.

It's the DEBT that has real world impact, not the deficit. Deficit is an indirect way of measuring debt service exposure, debt is direct measurement.

Further, we service the Debt with the US economy. If you increase the economic growth rate while keeping Debt growth flat, one can rather painlessly improve the ability of the US economy to service the debt, as Trump has done. This is why we find ourselves in the best debt to GDP position in seven years.

    Very nicely done President Trump!

You misunderstand the numbers, yes, and the GOP created the Great Recession and helped pass the budgets to help correct it.

The GOP under Trump greatly increased the deficit as well.

Yes, Kansas was a spectacular disaster using supply-side economics.

I understand them completely and corrected you. The Democrats passed their 2008 and 2009 budgets on their own taking the deficit to $1,400B and keeping it over $1,000B for the next three years and we are still paying for all the spending they passed.
