Federal appeals court orders judge to dismiss case against former national security adviser Flynn

    A US appeals court ordered the federal judge overseeing the Justice Department's case against former national security adviser Michael Flynn to dismiss the prosecution on Wednesday.

    The appeals court also overturned US District Judge Emmet Sullivan's decision to bring in a retired federal judge and veteran prosecutor to argue against the Justice Department's motion to dismiss Flynn's case.

    The decision is a major victory for Flynn, whose legal team has argued for months that the government unfairly targeted him for political reasons and that the FBI tried to entrap him into pleading guilty.

    Well, we've been all expecting this. Is this the proverbial thread that once pulled begin to unravel Democrats conspiracy to overturn a duly elected President of the United States?

    Hope so. And I also very much hope, the President will hire Flynn again; that be an ultimate insult to the Democrats out to destroy the President and his administration :D

    Travesty of justice... Flynn will be re-tried/sentenced once a Democratic administration moves in

    There's a Congressional hearing in 90 minutes to discuss this corrupt DOJ...

    I'm sure this will be discussed...

    That's true... they went "en banc" when a 3 judge panel got the McGahn decision wrong (and where is THAT decision, BTW... it's been almost 2 months since the oral arguments)... They could do the same here, especially since the same Trump appointee was the deciding vote on both cases...

    Remember that this ruling doesn't say anything about Flynn's guilt, which is undeniable...

    Wondering about what comes next after the dismissal? The baddies have been so desperate to stop this dismissal that they've gone to unprecedented and clearly untenable places in their effort to stop it.

    Bloomberg gave some hints, that it's possible(though disgraceful) if they tried to appeal to the Full circuit. It's unlikely that the Circuit would take up the case though(similarly to how the SCOTUS ignores cases) and thus the lower ruling is upheld.

    What's next, is that Judge Sullivan do his job.

    You mean like inviting a former judge who happens to write an op-ed already handing out his perceived judgment and being called a "friend of the court"? That kind of corrupt justice? If you were the defendant, you'd go freaking bananas.
