So now I am a drug user just because I do not agree with your stance? Interesting, as I do not even drink or do drugs. For some reason, the words "pompous", "self-righteous", and "presumptuous" seem to be entering my head.

More people than you would think use marijuana for medical reasons, it does wonders in terminal cancer patients and some people that have severe seizures. I don’t like the stuff but I have seen it help too many people I care for to be against its use.

At minimum it needs to be legalized nationwide for medical use but seeing that the legal punishments for using marijuana are worse than the effects of the drug itself I support full legalization.

Sugar is a drug as is caffeine.

Just because someone isn’t brainwashed doesn’t mean they are a drug user.

Such an absurd statement, almost like you have no real argument...

the governments own rules state Marijuana is not a scheduled one substance as it has accepted medical uses

    https://www.dea.gov/drug-scheduling

"Schedule I drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse."

Trump needs to fire the current leadership in the DEA and replace them for violating their own rules (Trump would actually be supported on this one from many on both sides imo)

Great point. Sugar is actually probably one of the worst drugs on the planet. It is highly addictive and is responsible for more health problems than alcohol or cannabis combined.

So cancer patients should suffer because people want to get high?

Should we stop production of all pain medications and benzodiazepines then?

How compassionate. I truly hope you never have to see a loved one suffering with no end in site because the pain meds have stopped working. It will destroy part of you.

the anti-smokers have less to do now, so they are going after vaping, the thing that got many to quit smoking, I vaped for about a year, then went no nicotine for about a month, then just quit, I would still be a smoker today if not for vapes.... sad they are doing this....

I remember when the airlines banned vaping as they said it looked too much like a cigarette and woudl upset smokers... no, they woudl see it and probably on the next flight they woudl have tried it by then and be vaping too - opportunity to get people to quit smoking lost

I woudl bet money most smokers vape in the bathroom on airlines now, I would of

the reality is, legal or not, people are still gonna abuse drugs and alchol, the majority will use responsibly either way as well

making it a crime, makes criminals of people that do not abuse

are drug any harder to get today after all these years, no, prohibition just doesn't work

There is no real argument. Drug users made a bad choice, each and every one of them. Some will never stop making them.

That is your opinion and opinion only.

I will have to disagree that a terminal cancer patient finding relief is a “bad choice”, would you rather then just lay there and suffer — I would guess you are also against medically assisted suicide?

yep, if I had pain and a drug made it go away, I would not call that an addiction, it would just be that you were in pain, one time when I pulled my neck, I took Tylenol for almost a month, cause it worked like magic, was almost like neck was healed but as it wore off knew it wasn't, then slowly as it healed I reduced to half a dose, then stopped taking as no pain to remind me too take anymore

A terminal cancer patient should get the relief they need and I think everyone has the right to end their own life as they choose.

Some people think they have the right to tell others what they should do or not do and they think that this is in line with being free. They are wrong.

You understand that there are companies that would not provide for certain services were they not forced to?
That persons not wishing to subsidize those services for others could, but for government interference at gun point, patronize only those services and only through voluntary association?

Dude cheeseburgers are about as bad for you as drugs are. Obesity and obesity related heart disease, diabetes, etc kill more Americans than many things people bitterly complain of.
If your logic is "its bad for you and I have to pay for things for you so you can't do things that are bad for you" then people can't eat poorly either, or fail to exercise and maintain condition etc.

Medicinally I say use it how ever is needed. Recreationally though I would like to see it stigmatized like alcohol. Don’t use it until after 5 pm. If you drink beer for breakfast you got a problem but there is no such stigma for wake and bake. A guy I went to high school with can’t function unless he lights up, I mean within 5 minutes of waking up, he has hit his pipe 2-3 times and then every couple of hours throughout the day he takes another toke or two, then he gets real high before bed. This guy literally has not seen sobriety in decades. Sad.

Sure sure sure, we believe it. If some guy on the internet says some guy he knows says so, then who can argue?

I take it you don't believe in liberty unless you happen to approve of people's choices.
