Hooray, it's up and actually running this time!

Well we have a state exchange in Colorado (which I'm not eligible for anyway), but I was curious what the rates look like, as private rates have seemed similar or worse. So I pulled up the website and entered in a Texas zipcode (73301) just to browse and entered our information. Here's what I was greeted with for plans:

So in this plan I would have pay $560 a month ($6720 a year), and get NO benefit from insurance until I spend $12,600. Joy, I have to spend $19,320 a year to get ANY benefit from this farce called insurance . By the way my deductible was $500 before Obamacare came along, and my premiums were around $650. My premiums after Obamacare are at $975 right now, so if this type of rate holds in Colorado at least it will be an improvement. If not I'll probably just cancel and pay the fine.

Okay, okay, that's just one plan. How about the lowest deductible? You can sort on that, and this is what I got for the lowest deductible.

Ok, no deductible but now I'm paying $17,388 per year on premiums. But what about that maximum out of pocket expense? Well, that means if things really go sour I better plan to pay $17,388 + $12,700 = $30,088 a year. More love from Obama, Pelosi, and Reid.

Liberals really expect the people to support this nonsense? Fortunately we cover my son through his university insurance, which is a much better deal than the exchange.

You all know the website: https://www.healthcare.gov

And if you don't qualify for any subsidies you are screwed which just so happens to be the majority of the middle class. What Obamacare does is put an undo burden on working families who can no longer take that family vacation because of "FORCED" healthcare costs.

Sure, maybe the plans before were not everything they should be but at least people could afford them. How many are now going to go without simply because they can't afford it?

This thing needs to be repealed or massively reworked.

But hey, as long as the illegals get healthcare then everything is ok, after all, we all have to pay our fair share.

And the democrats wonder why they were thrown out on their ass.

This whole program is an unfortunate burden on the middle class.
Are those who benefit from it capable of seeing the bigger picture: who provides the money for these subsidies?
I regret to say that but obviously, all good things might be over soon.
