A firefighter resigned after being caught on camera suggesting that addicts who overdose on illegal opioids should be left to die.

The firefighter was arguing with Black Lives Matter protesters, with the comment presumably alluding to the case of George Floyd.

The firefighter's name was James Stanley who lives in the Hartford suburb of Glastonbury, in Connecticut.

The actual comment was "Why don't you get rid of f---ing Narcan (a drug which is used to reverse opioid overdoses in emergency situations) and when people overdose, you let them die."

It looks like he may have been forced to resign.

I see, so if you lack sympathy for drug addicts, you're a Nazi, you seem to be insinuating.

That is not what he said, you are changing the context.

He was a volunteer firefighter who know long volunteers. Big win for BLM I suppose.
