Giardinieri said he contacted an infectious disease doctor about the drug.

“He gave me all the reasons why I would probably not want to try it because there are no trials, there’s no testing, it was not something that was approved,” said Giardinieri.

“And I said, ‘Look, I don’t know if I’m going to make it until the morning,’ because at that point I really thought I was coming to the end because I couldn’t breathe anymore,” Giardinieri continued.

“He agreed and authorized the use of it and 30 minutes later the nurse gave it to me.”

After about an hour on an IV with the medicine, Giardinieri said, it felt like his heart was beating out of his chest and, about two hours later, he had another episode where he couldn’t breathe.

He says he was given Benadryl and some other drugs and that when he woke up around 4:45 a.m., it was “like nothing ever happened.”

He’s since had no fever or pain and can breathe again. Giardinieri said doctors believe the episodes he experienced were not a reaction to the medicine but his body fighting off the virus.

That depends.... Were you one of the ones hoping for a cure and a return to normalcy? Or were you one of those hoping for a recession and a mountain of dead bodies so Trump might lose the election later this year? Because that's about how insanely partisan this has become....

I am NEVER partisan about anything. I only wonder how much joy we should expect from the drug before we "really know".

This could be a game changer. If this drug can significantly reduce the death rate the rationale for shutting down the country is diminished. IMHO we need to quarantine at risk groups and let others go on as they see fit, with wise precautions, especially if this drug is proven to work. We will know shortly.

In another story a 103 year old woman in China has recovered from the China Virus.

Trump was headed to a LOSS (regardless).

    And Nobody Wants "dead bodies".

Anyway, the case in the OP is ANECDOTAL, so there really is no reason to be too encouraged.

"Anecdotal" is a word that may be way too above their heads.

    an·ec·do·tal
    /ˌanəkˈdōdl/

    adjective
    1. (of an account) not necessarily true or reliable, because based on personal accounts rather than facts or research.
"while there was much anecdotal evidence there was little hard fact"

      Similar:
      informal
      unreliable
      based on hearsay
      unscientific

Didn't you say that last time?

You wish. The French study isn't anecdotal. NY is starting their own tests tomorrow. It would be great news if successful, right?

Bingo, exactly. I think that's why so many on the left are upset about this drug and want to wait and test it further even though it's been in use for over 80 years. They want to drag this on till the election.

But even the FDA thinks its promising but until the work inefficiently at large clinical trials, they won't say anything more. How much time can they take? Why aren't they already on it, working round the clock ?

    Exactly.

But, in Trump's FEEBLE Mind this is:

“one of the biggest game-changers in the history of medicine”

Wow. What a Clueless IMBECILE.:roflol: :bored:

Your putting partisan politics above your country is noted. IF this treatment works, you'll apologize, right?

What are you talking about? You make no sense at all. It really disgusts me when people bring political prejudice into the matter. Think about what you just wrote and shame yourself. "Further testing" is a sign of leftist affiliation? And "a drug that has been in use for over 80 years"? Jesus Christ! Use your head!

    Sure it would be.

If somebody could conclusively prove that a Cocktail of M&Ms and Tic Tacs could treat the Virus that would (also) be great news.

    That said:
Having someone like Donald Trump (A Mistakenly-Elected IMBECILE, who is the Laughingstock of the Entire World, and who lacks medical training or any background in disease control) Promoting QUACKERY isn't a good look.

I am, those on their death beds are being helped by this drug, it should be given out in mass quantities to every hospital immediately. They can do their studies while it's being used to keep people from dying. That shouldn't be a tough choice.

The same can be said about every treatment at first. Still more effective than posting cheap insults!

They probably are working on it, but since it takes time to evaluate it, it is extremely premature to start touting this as a "cure".

The very fact that you cannot see the contradiction in your post busts me up laughing.:roflol:

But hey, you're more than welcomed to be a guinea pig and help make that a reality.

That was done already in this case and it had a good outcome. We will know more in time. There is no contradiction in my post.

    Is anyone proposing that?

I will predict you'll look really stupid if and when this treatment works.

    Saved for posterity.

Quick, give Trump the Nobel Prize in medicine.

People, stop pushing this narrative that there is an easy "cure". This potentially false hope will only make people complacent, so they won't take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others, promoting further virus spread.

On second thought, I think that's exactly what those reports for "cures", all from the RW, are intended to do. They are designed to protect Trump's economy, not to protect people.

And I'm saying it this time again, twice on Sunday. Last time Trump was largely untested as a pol and many thought he might "grow into the office" as proverbially happens. Proverbs are not always right it seems and some people shrink instead.

I hope this is true, but Trump thinks it's great, which is not encouraging.
