I don't think there will be any circumstances in which he's going to tolerate even the most basic of mitigation efforts. I fear it wont be long before we start seeing the daily stories about ICU occupancy, and still even then DeathSantis wont act. Or rather he will act, he'll find some new way to make things worse. If you look at the UK. You'll see the pattern ahead. Lots of young people testing positive, a small rise in hospitalisation, an even smaller rise in deaths. Followed by a capping out and a rapid decline.

You decided to use total numbers for a state that is 3rd in population. That speaks for itself since California's numbers prove it.
California has 1,796,000 active Covid cases, Florida has 308,000 yet Florida has the highest population of retirees.
California has twice the population of Florida yet they have 6 times more current active cases yet that number seemed to just slip by you?

If you were genuinely more concerned about people than you were leftist propaganda you would be screaming about California and congratulating Florida.

Just read this morning that the vaccinated "breakthrough" nasal tested carry just as much virus as those unvaccinated.. So vaccinated or unvaccinated who cares, both are just as contagious to each other..
