FNC’s Wallace: Biden ‘Not Doing Really Any Serious Interviews’ – ‘Damnedest Thing’ He Isn’t Putting Anyone on Sunday Shows

Wallace said, “I’ve been doing Sunday shows with conventions. I started on ‘Meet the Press’ in 1988. I’ve been doing it on and off. … Thirty-two years. And it always happens that the Sunday before the convention, the campaign puts out top officials to preview the convention and to say, this is what we’re going to try to get accomplished. So, you know, we were counting all week on having a top official from the Biden campaign, the campaign manager, the top pollster, the chief strategist, to talk about what they’re going to talk about during this next week. They are not putting anybody out. And at first I thought, well, maybe it’s because it’s Fox News and they’re boycotting us. No, they’re not putting anybody out on any of the Sunday shows. Point, I don’t understand what’s going on here. This is the damnedest thing I’ve ever seen, that you would — you know, you’re basically giving a campaign. And as I say, it’s a traditional thing. We’re going to do it for the Republicans a week from Sunday, what are you trying to accomplish this week? And they — the Biden campaign isn’t putting anybody out. And this just is of a piece with the vice president not doing really any serious interviews, not answering any questions since the rollout.”

With the DNC starting in just a few days, Chris Wallace notes that Biden still has not agreed to do an interview, like Trump did several weeks back.

But he goes on to say that he thought Biden might be boycotting Fox news-and yet Biden is not sending anyone to speak with the press at all, not even left leaning media sources like CNN or MSNBC. At the same time, neither Biden or Kamala are taking press questions when they speak.

Chris Wallace has been covering campaigns including national conventions since 1964, and says he's never seen anything like this, even back to the first televised convention in 1952, which led to Eisenhower's election victory.

 

Their strategy is "The less they see of the Biden campaign, the better."

It's a good strategy.

That's one hell of a virus that it's killing all media scrutiny of Joe's campaign.

I just wan't to be sure I have this straight.

So because of covid, Biden can't answer questions?

Why is it that his wife can sit down for an interview but he can't?

How will people decide to vote for him if he isn't making his case for why he should be President?

 

A prediction:

The DNC will push for virtual debates - this way VP Biden can be positioned in front of a teleprompter, fitted with an earpiece, and put on a 10 second tape delay. They will say its just not safe to debate in person despite the fact that the teams for each campaign undergo regular testing and the debates wont change that. They'll get some doctor to claim its unsafe, they'll use their allies at CNN and whatnot to generate huff-puff, they may even float the idea of letting the Trump campaign pick the moderator. They'll push Pres Trump into a position of refusing a virtual forum and that's when left-wing media will go on the attack with 'Trump is scared to debate Biden' rhetoric never once mentioning the fact that the DNC is under contract to participate in these debates and those contracts have no mention of them bring done remotely.

 

They have no other choice. Hopefully Trump won't participate in such a thing.

Biden isn't campaigning becauce of the addage "If it ait broke don't fix it." Biden is way ahead and the pandemic is a nightmare for Trump right now. Even with his unfortunate pick of Kamala Harris, Biden is still probably going to win with little effort.

 

I'd love to hear some rapid fire press conferences not pre prepared with a list of who to call on and softball questions.

Those should happen weekly, they will in January if he wins right?

 

I am pretty sure Joe will get the questions beforehand so there is no excuse to pass on the debates.

The media will order them to and he's not as hateable as Hillary.
