For all of the GOP whining about Bernie "getting screwed", why is the GOP protecting Bonespurs?

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/republicans-move-to-protect-trump-from-primary-challenges/

Some of Donald Trump's supporters in early states are making moves to protect the president from an intra-party primary challenge and mitigate any bruising ahead of the general election.

The South Carolina Republican Party is considering canceling its primary in 2020, and a few members of the New Hampshire state GOP have been pushing to amend the organization's bylaws to allow the party to endorse the president. This comes amid news this week that the Trump re-election campaign will merge with the Republican National Committee--a move that is designed to streamline resources ahead of a highly competitive re-election fight but also demonstrates Trump's dominance over the party.

Mr. Trump remains broadly popular among Republican voters and no party figure has stepped forward to challenge him for the nomination yet. Even if a GOP Trump critic were to enter the fray, the formula for a winning coalition is unclear. And South Carolina has canceled primaries before, including in 2004.

Sorry but the DNC and Obama fixed the primaries to make sure that Hills won. Why? Because Obama wanted Hills to carry on HIS legacy and Bernie had a shot at the nomination. Democrats are corrupt through and through and will lie, cheat or steal to get what they want. They can't play nice. They only know dirty. Just look at what they did to Trump for 2 years and counting...they truly are the epitome of evil...their won't be any challengers to Trump who can win the nomination.

Explain how they were "fixed" instead of just repeating a RW conspiracy theory.

    Danke.

What about the RNC consolidating with the Bonespurs campaign, effectively shutting out any potential nomination challenger?

He's a draft dodging buffoon who lies constantly.

He knowingly accepted Russian help during the 2016 elections, and then obstructed justice by trying to cover it up.

    Sound familiar now?

Trump being the brave strong man he pretends to be, did't want to have to go to Vietnam, even though he supported the war. To avoid military service, his father found a doctor who was willing to sign papers saying that Trump couldn't be drafted because he had bone spurs.

I expect a lot of responders won't 'get' the point the OP makes here. I definitely understand the point, but I suspect others will have seriously comprehension problems. I'd explain it simpler, but I just don't think it will work with the targeted demographic, no matter how its phrased.

You mean Barack Obama . . . saying to the Russian, "After my re-election I will have more flexibility?" Yes that on air PROOF of collusion with the Russians was traitorous.

I'm not sure we know how, but it was confirmed by Donna Brazile, not well-known as a RW conspiracy participant.

It had nothing to do with Obama. The Dem primaries have always been unfairly imbalanced towards party insiders. The DNC has a number of "superdelegates" that are free to vote for whoever they want, regardless of popular vote, and these delegates are always always party insides who vote for the establishment candidates.
