I think you are complaining about Obama’s spending or Biden spending or Clinton spending to wring guy. I am liberal, I don’t mind debt and deficit. One of my fav conservative once said “deficit doesn’t matter” ( Dick Cheney) , I think Obama should have spent more money early in 2009-2011 to stabilize the recession G.W. Bush created. I think if it was not DINO like joe manchin , Biden would have spent more money in last 3 yeas. I , and other liberals are absolutely ok with it. We don’t cry over debt and deficit.

Your statement is nothing more then a wishful thinking.

Fact is in last 8 presidential election (32 years) , only one time majority American voted for republican. If Democrat policy would have created more conservative then in past 32 years majority Americans would have voted for conservative.

 

Problems with republican party is the traditional conservatives like Paul Ryan or Liz Cheney or even Mitch Mcconnell hold onto the 50 years old conservatism Reagan once championed. Those 50 years old conservatism has no relevance in 21st century. It’s like if Democrats stuck on Bill Clinton policy and never adopted new ideas or new way of thinking.

As traditional conservative became irrelevant and no new idea has been adopted to bring new generation to the fold, or face the problem of 21st century, those irrelevant ideas replaced by anger, frustration, animosity and despair. The entire concept “ Make America Great Again” is looking backward and not forward. A Party which looks backward and not forward will never survive in long run. It is against human nature to look backward. The idea that younger generation will get old and say “ oh yea 1970s life was good so lets implement those policy again” is oxymoron. Younger generation may not like all of the Democrat’s policy and as next generation take the lead, they will change current liberal policy, invent new ideas and new way of doing things.
