Both are wrong. What we need is less spending with lower taxes and no borrowing. But common sense never wins in politics.

All federal government spending is out of control. It is very expensive to be the planetary police force. We should know better.

US ramps up sanctions over Uighur abuses with penalties on powerful Chinese paramilitary group.

    https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/us-...-penalties-powerful-chinese/story?id=72105534

The U.S. has sanctioned a powerful Chinese paramilitary organization in the country's western province that plays a key role in the detention and repression of Muslim ethnic minorities.

This round of penalties is also the second in just three weeks by President Donald Trump.
This puts any company, even American ones, at risk of U.S. sanctions if they work in the region or have a supply chain with ties to it.

Maybe Nike will issue a commemorative shoe for the Uighurs.

Yes. The Sinicizing of Xianjing is not how you'd deal with people who you simply suspect of supporting seperatist groups. Installing Han Chinese "overseers" in Uyghur homes to monitor that people are sufficiently Sinicized, forced sterilization of Uyghur women, and not all Uyghurs in those camps are reliably seperatists or terrorists.

And as long as the country of China includes Xinjiang and Tibet, Tibetans and Ughurs are native peoples of China. Their nationhood, their land, their heritage.. it is tied to their land, and their land is ruled by China. China does not have to act like they do now. They're are going ultra-nationalist because their corrupt leader needs internal enemies as well as external ones to legitmize his permanent position of power.

And these government agents, forcibly placed into the homes, share a bed with the wife while the husband is interned in the concentration camps. These folks that still carry water for the Lying Outlaw Slavers of Beijing, so they can still sell goods made by slaves on US markets, TODAY and not 200 years ago, are probably not the folks who should be sitting in judgment on our Framers and Founders.

It's easy to see who is bought:

And you can see who is not bought:

Be that as it may, why would someone want to bring a child into that situation where they too would suffer greatly?
