'Earlier this month, Glaze finally dropped all pretense of moderation and acknowledged his and his associates’ radical anti-gun goals. Writing on behalf of a new gun control group called Guns Down, Glaze endorsed mandatory firearm owner licensing, alluded to a “government buy-back” for commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms, and called for restrictions that would prevent even the law-abiding from accessing guns.'

As the lunacy in the streets worsens, they will be emboldened to be more radical.

While I acknowledge there are honest people who genuinely believe gun control would make the world better, the fact is that the highest ranking leaders of the gun control movement are proven and documented liars willing to say and do literally anything to see their agenda become reality.

However, Millions of concealed carry permit holders blow those Gun control arguments out of the water.

Gun grabbers seem to come in two varieties now. Those who are now openly against the individual ownership of guns and favor confiscation, and those that want to take their time and nickel and dime confiscation from the people with one annoying ordinance or law at a time. In the end the goal is the same, just the honesty level appears to differ...

    There is a third flavor;
The ones that claim to be Pro-Gun, yet advocate for "Reasonable Gun Control" restrictions on concealed carry, or Bans on Black guns, or various types of " Assault Weapons" or a total ban on any civilian owned machine guns, etc......

The Pro-Gun Anti-Gunner, thats what I call them, they sometimes claim to be firearms instructors, gun shop owners, LEOs, yet still advocate for moar gun control and restrictions on guns.

I add another distinction. when it comes to gun banners there are two versions

    the ignorant/stupid and the dishonest

there are some people who are ignorant and/or stupid and actually believe that laws that restrict what honest people can own or possess will somehow prevent criminals from getting guns

then there are the leaders of the gun control movement and their advocate supporters: these peiple only pretend that crime control is the reason behind their anti gun nonsense when it is motivated by far more disgusting true reasons

This is nothing surprising. A total gun ban is and always has been the ultimate goal of the anti-gunners. It's why no one should ever trust them or attempt to negotiate with them in the least.

I think you will find the higher you get in politics, the more you may have to compromise on the truth and your integrity to thrive and survive. This general notion would involve both all sides of all issues.

the people who push gun control on the national stages are neither stupid nor have the ability to pretend ignorance. They are dishonest about why they push gun control. AT BEST, they are trying to pander to people too ignorant or uncaring to understand the issue. at worst, they are dishonest liars who push that agenda to harass the NRA and pro gun voters.

Should you have grown up in a different environment I imagine you would be saying the same thing about the NRA

what, in a family of emotobabblers rather than thinkers? that's like saying if I had an IQ of 80 I wouldn't have been a successful federal litigator and if I had been born handicapped I wouldn't have been an All-American athlete. or as one of my college room mates used to say

IF I HAD WHEELS-I COULD BE A TROLLEY CAR!!

I am sure you would retain the same misplaced ego and self aggrandizement, just battling for the other side.

not at all. like it or not, I am honest, that almost guarantees being unable to argue for gun control as crime control

...And how sad that this is accepted. If anyone in a position of trust is caught in a lie he should face the consequences for it. Period.

Gun banners want to take my rights away, and they're willing to lie to do it. That makes them a direct threat to my political liberty and freedom, and I hold them in abject contempt.

Nope. Integrity is integrity and truth is truth. Someone growing up in a different environment may have a different value system, but that does not give them the right to lie in their efforts to force me to conform to their agenda.

I did grow up in a different environment, my mum & dad were Anti Gun, I lived in Anti Gun N.Y.C. and most people around me were Anti Gun, at the age of 10, I made up my own mind, I listened to NRA, and my Pro Gun relatives in various countries, and I listened to the Anti Gun advocates, then I saw the folly of not having Guns, and I became 100%
Pro Gun at age 10, after careful study.

So you are wrong my loquacious freind.

they prove that the NR article that gun control is a weapon groups who hate conservative Christian middle class white males use, is correct. The leader of that group is hateful that the NRA has helped elect politicians who don't find a right to sodomy or gay marriage exists in the constitution. Its all about political paybacks

In a different environment... where rational thought is demonized and fallacious argument based in appeals to emotion ignorance and/or dishonesty are the norm?
    Likely not.

I grew up in a house that frowns on guns in the house and carrying them and yet I believe that we civilians should have anything the average soldier that doesn't need special security clearance has access to.

I meant a different environment to the one which lead you to your current path.

Same for me, same for everyone.
