Former New York City Mayor and billionaire Michael Bloomberg announced Wednesday that he has officially re-registered as a Democrat, in what some see as a possible signal of his interest in a presidential bid.

“At key points in U.S. history, one of the two parties has served as a bulwark against those who threaten our Constitution. Two years ago at the Democratic Convention, I warned of those threats,” he shared in a post on Instagram and Twitter.

“Today, I have re-registered as a Democrat-- I had been a member for most of my life-- because we need Democrats to provide the checks and balance our nation so badly needs,” he said.

Wednesday's Instagram post follows a report in The Times of London last month that Bloomberg has decided he will run against Donald Trump in 2020.....snip~

Bloomberg knows the Demos have no star power and the funny money can't be trusted. So he will run as a Democrat. The Demos have quite a field lining up and none have the money to compete against Bloomberg. Moreover Bloomberg now admits he what he has been most of his life.

He will run on Anti Gun and Climate issues along with his concept of checks and balances. But he does present a problem for the Demos too.

He is not one of the chosen nor part of the incrowd. They can't tell him what to do or bully him like they do others in their party. Still they would rather have him than Trump. What say ye?

It looks like Bloomberg will upset the Demo field. Currently Biden is leading the Demo Pack. But once Bloomberg makes it Official. Joe will be taking a seat at the back of the bus.

In the entire history of our great republic no mayor of NYC has ever gone on to hold higher office.

CNN even has Trump winning re-election.

CNN Poll: More see Trump win likely as Biden leads crowded Democratic field

Americans are becoming more likely to think President Donald Trump will win a second term in office, while Joe Biden stands atop a crowded field of Democrats perhaps looking to replace him, according to a new CNN Poll conducted by SSRS.

In the race for the Democratic nomination to face Trump, former Vice President Biden leads a massive potential field. The poll asked Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents to choose their preferred presidential nominee among 16 possible candidates. Biden tops the list with 33% support, followed by independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, the 2016 runner-up, at 13%. Sen. Kamala Harris of California follows at 9%, with Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts at 8%. Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey and 2004 Democratic nominee John Kerry garnered5% support.....snip~

I will note Trump is or was a lifelong Democrat, and Bloomberg has been a Dem in the past. The GOP is fulll of corruption and power hungry scoundrels like McConnell.

Safety is not being anti gun and addressing the record heat ithis summer is not dwelling on climate change.

Well at least that is what Bloomberg has in common with Trump.....both switching parties.

Biden is the Demo frontrunner.....until Bloomberg declares.

Don't know which I want more, Bloomberg, who will be pummeled due to the insane nanny soft drink regulations in NYC, or Warren, who will be pummeled due to being generally insane. Biden is a good speaker when he takes his foot out of his mouth, but has "creepy Uncle Joe" problems of his own. I don't see any of the three flipping any states that voted for Trump other than possibly PA if enough trademark Democrat election fraud is implemented in the big corrupt PA cities.

Democrats best start grooming a youngish, mixed race slickster from a powerful Democrat political machine that they can fool the public into believing is an outsider.

I think that Joe will happily sit back down for Bloomberg.

That might be true.....as its clear Joe would know that Bloomberg would make him look like a blithering idiot in a debate.
