Former Trump business adviser Felix Sater to testify before House panels

Felix Sater, an off-and-on adviser to Trump's business for several years, will testify publicly before the House intelligence committee on March 27 and then behind closed doors to the House Judiciary Committee on March 28. The intelligence panel announced the public hearing on Thursday, and Sater confirmed the closed-door interview.

Sater is of interest to investigators because he worked with Trump's former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, on an ultimately unsuccessful deal to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. Sater and Cohen also discussed having Trump visit Russia during his presidential campaign.

Felix Sater, huh?? I obviously know the name, but I'm not really sure what his value will be to either committee... I do know he was identified as "Individual 2" in the Cohen pleas, so he has some status. But I will watch with interest...

One thing is pretty likely, Sater will prove that Donald Trump lied about their relationship in the past (shocker, right?) when he said: "Felix Sater, boy, I have to even think about it. I’m not that familiar with him." and “If he were sitting in the room right now, I really wouldn't know what he looked like,”

I just hope nobody calls Rank Member Devin Nunes any bad names on Twitter before this testimony... But I'd love to have somebody in the crowd go "Mooooo" when Nunes asks his first question.

Who can tell us more about this guy Sater??

 

Never heard of him. Is he as loyal to Trump as Cohen?

 

Let's hope so! I don't think there are any charges against him, so he has no known reason to tell the truth...

Gee, I may be a novice here, but that sounds like the textbook definition of attempted collusion with a foreign power...

Hope we learn more about Saters efforts to "get Putin on this program"

 

He's already testified...so doubtful anything important....

 

I predict they will charge him with a long list of crimes, freeze his assets to prevent him from obtaining adequate legal defense, set bail high for the same reason, and offer a plea deal in exchange for his testimony against Trump.

Great! What would he testify against Trump about?? I assume something to do with his Russian real estate dealings, or perhaps ALL of his Real Estate dealings...

With more laws on the books than you can read if you live to be 1000 years old, Trump likely committed 3 federal crimes a day on average. But so did you and every other American.

If you never heard of him, you don't know anything of substance about the Trump Russia scandal.

But we already knew that. Most Trumpsters here roar their denials, and demonstrate that they don't even know basic facts while doing it, as you just did.

 

Sater has been interviewed by the Mueller team.

He has not testified, as you incorrectly claim.

But watching a Russian gangster who was the guy telling Trump that the Russians would get him elected, and who was involved in the Trump Moscow deal (where a US PResidential candidate offered a $50 million bribe to the head of state of a rival government during an election) is going to be very very interesting.

He was an FBI informant...becauses of his ties to Costa Nostra...the Italian Mob. He has lived in the United States since he was 7, he has no ties personal ties to Russia. He never told Trump the Russians would elect him....he was involved in the Trump Moscow deal, as he was with real estate development all over the world.

He was born in the USSR, which doesn't exist....he's been here since he was 7 years old. You wouldn't call an American born in Italy an Italian. With that said in 2009 he began working with Loretta Lynch in taking down La Costa Nostra...the Italian mob...she had his records sealed.

I suspect that to many people, his status as a "Russian mob boss" or a "legitimate business man" will be determined based on whether his testimony helps or harms Trump.
