The 10 minute bump is even more useful when you hit a repetitious "news" segment.

Of course no one was accusing Obama of being a Russian tool, because everyone in Obama's campaign wasn't cavorting with Russian operatives, like the people in Trump's campaign were. And Obama never stood on the world stage and insisted that he trusted Putin over the US intelligence community.

Trump began his political career by making false claims about Obama.

It takes a great deal of willful ignorance to pretend that just about every conservative talking head didn't spend a lot of time trash talking Obama throughout his presidency. Even though most of that trash talk was based upon false and misleading premises.

Unlike Trump who obviously had a thing with the Russians, paid off a porn star to keep quiet, violating election laws in the process. He clearly solicited another country to corruptly help him in his reelection bid. He regularly says things that don't square with reality.

And here we are, in the middle of a pandemic and Trump, the president of low expectations is blaming Obama for his own shortcomings. He is arguing with governors, helping those states whose governors bow down to him and slow walking aid to those whose governors don't. He seems more concerned with his numbers than helping anyone.

This virus has gone a long way to show how weak of a leader Trump is. In a time of crises, real leaders step up to the plate. Trump is still lagging behind, having ceded leadership to the governors. After 911, 90% of the country rallied behind the hapless Bush.

Here, in a crises that threatens us all, in a very real way, half the country still thinks that Trump is too incompetent, too corrupt, too ignorant to be president, who do not trust a thing he says. He has made it quite clear, he is the president of only half the country while actively working to harm the other half. He preaches to the choir while everyone else sees him as being rather despicable

No need to envision it, it exists, we call it Venezuela. There is your utopia.

If only Bernie was advocating for a society such as that found in Venezuela. Somehow words like intelligent and honest don't come to mind when I hear repeated Republican propaganda.
