Fox News Host Makes Disgusting Comment About Bowe Bergdahl's Father

"The hosts of "Fox and Friends" went after the family of freed POW Bowe Berghdal on Tuesday.

The White House announced Bergdahl's release over the weekend after he was held captive for five years in Afghanistan. Fox News has questioned the Obama administration's handling of Bergdahl's release. On Tuesday, host Steve Doocy wondered why President Obama embraced Bergdahl's parents at the White House given reports that Bergdahl had left his post without permission.

Co-host Brian Kilmeade also criticized Bergdahl's father, Robert Bergdahl, for apparently tweeting to a Taliban spokesperson, “I am still working to free all Guantanamo prisoners. God will repay for the death of every Afghan child, ameen.” The tweet was later deleted.

Kilmeade continued, “I mean, he says he was growing his beard because his son was in captivity. Well, your son’s out now. So if you really don’t - no longer look like a member of the Taliban, you don’t have to look like a member of the Taliban. Are you out of razors?”

Bergdahl had grown his beard, the Washington Post said, in order to mark the time that his son had been gone, and in an effort to win sympathy from his son's captors. The Post reported that he spent the last five years learning Pashto, the language of southern Afghanistan, and studying the culture of those holding his son captive."

IMO: Is Fox news so very petty that they cannot forgive Sgt. Bergdahl's father for having a beard? That is like grasping at straws in their attempt to defame not only Sgt. Bergdahl, but his family.

What is the matter with Americans today that the members of the republican party are so steeped in violent anger, and are ready to tear a returning POW to pieces before he even steps foot back in his country?

This goes far beyond party loyalty..it is seriously treasonous, un-democratic, and unconstitutional behavior. In America you are innocent until proven guilty, and whether the father of the former prisoner is sporting a beard is totally irrelevant unless you want to dream up some wacky motivation for it. Either that or it would then aptly apply to every American that has a beard!

Fox News is doing their best to keep the political fires burning at the feet of Sgt. Bergdahl, who has not as yet had a chance to defend himself....but ask yourself...is the hoopla surrounding Sgt. Bergdahl fact or fantasy...or somewhere in between?

Americans pride ourselves on fairness, open discourse and any alleged charges on any citizen being proven in a court of law before politicizing anything concerning a returning POW!! The republicans appear awfully intent on stringing Bergdahl up even before knowing if he is guilty of anything at all.

But hey: that's the republican party for ya!! Take a time of rejoicing over return of a POW, and replace it with falsehoods, smears, and keep it going to the elections!

 

FOX reflected what everyone in America, except the most DESPERATE DEMOCRAT/OBAMA APOLOGISTS were thinking when Bergdahl's traitorous father greeted Bowe's taliban captors in Pashton,and gave thanks to allah, after more than a DOZEN MEN DIED at THEIR HANDS, trying to find/free hos PRO-TALIBAN, DESERTER SON.

Good luck trying to "make victims"out of the Bergdahl's.

I agree totally. The Obama gang is attacking the troops who think that Bergdahl is a traitor as being psychopaths. They imply that Bowe walked off of his post due to a lack of leadership in his platoon as if that is a legitimate reason for joining the Taliban.

The soldiers - plural - in Bergdahl's unit had said very clearly that Bergdahl had deserted his post, so therefore Bergdahl is NOT a POW, but a deserter and yes! I will believe those soldiers who were THERE and have more credibility than any politician, regardless of what party he/she belongs to.........
