In difference to Russia Germany has not own plane industry.
Like China Germany performs cheap manufacturing only, but all brains and engineering are in France.

I do not think that Russia stops to buy hi-tec products from Germany as the industry in Russia is still very under-developed. For example, the local companies can not make competition to farmacy products from Germany, France and Switzerland.
This is a result of very poor chemistry industry in Russia. As you can guess one gramm of some specific chemical material can cost much more that one gramm of gold. One need lots of investments,tens of years and big good scientific teams to reach the world level in this area. If the last thing is feasible, the first one- clearly not.

 

The time is working for Russia, it is on the right way.
Five - ten years and country is self-efficient.
