Middleborough, Massachusetts has outlawed the act of swearing in public -- charging a $20 fine for anyone who breaths a "profane" word.

I can't spell it out to you any further: when the government violently extracts funds from those as punishment for saying certain words, this is the point in which we know we live in a totalitarian state. This is when we know we live in tyranny. Our founders tried to specifically prevent this exact event from happening by ratifying the First Amendment, yet it's happening today.

Before this insanity spreads to other towns or states, stop the madness now, come down and protest:

When our founders were still alive people in MA were executing people for witchcraft. Trust me this is not something that would bother them.

I believe there are similar laws on the books in many US cities. Seems they have been there for years.

    Don't yell fire lol

Do you honestly think that this ridiculous law will not be challenged in the courts?

They were careful to make it an infraction and fine-worthy. Just more revenue generating BS.

This is no different than the laws banning low-slung pants that reveal "underwear".

Just more old biddies and busybodies and curmudgeons who wish to indirectly ban classes of people they don't like.

Cmon, now, you know you aren't that way.

Dealing with a few "funkafied asses" is a small price to pay for a free society.

Besides, making them into "outlaws" is exactly what they WANT us to do!

Okay, okay...I wouldn't mind if my future husband, Chris Hemsworth, was walking around in his underdrawers, but it is always like a high school kid.

Individuals who want to live a in free society don't support central mandates to purchase health insurance. Just thought I'd clue you in...

That is my issue with Obamacare. It forces me to purchase health insurance when I might instead want a different model--even concierge, for example. Kucinch's single payer is the government acting like Costco so we all get it cheaper. Much better IMO. I'm not forced, the government gets cheaper prices, doctors don't have all the paperwork.

More Liberal Fascism at its finest hour--coming from the most liberal state in the union. Teddy Kennedy must be turning over in his grave with such pride.

Perhaps, you care to counsel your Republican buddies in Congress on your rage that they gave us CISPA since you are a lover of liberty.
