Free speech? Sure – but only for leftists

The First Amendment's guarantee of free speech is something that's been under increasingly successful attack for the past several years, but only as it relates to conservative speech. The left has not only enjoyed increased legal protection, but governments have endorsed and given real-world protection for liberal speech by simply looking the other way as they commit acts of mass violence and crime by calling leftist riots "peaceful protests" and characterizing any attempt to restore public order as fascists trampling the constitutional rights of the rioters. Major media play along with the charade by repeating the Orwellian transformation of the meaning of words into their exact opposites.

The double standard when it comes to free speech is an outrage. One very strictly constricted version for Christians and conservatives and another much more broad and open one for secular progressives. Covid discussions, the riots and protests, and discussion of election integrity are prime examples where especially on social media they openly take sides on whose expression is allowed and whose is not to be tolerated.

 

I got banned from Facebook for 30 days for simply replying "Ok, Karen" to a lady on CNN's Facebook page...

 

That is the world we live in now and it's only going to get worse.

Better put a Biden sticker on your bumper or your car can be legally vandalized.....stuff like that is coming quickly.

 

How dare you speak against the establishment, even places like this place are becoming overtly leftist and shutting down conservative voices.

I’ve been suspended three times on this site for busting balls of conservatives. Should I whine about free speech? Oh wait...this is a private site to which the 1st amendment does not apply.

The point is that Totalitarian Leftists, who have been handed deserved punishment by courts in Russia, Philippines, many Muslim Nations, etc do whine about their Free Speech.

 

Establishing and supporting Alternative Media like Gab, Bitchute, Parler, etc. is more urgent then ever.

 

Awww. That's just horrible. Maybe someday a Christian conservative will be elected to Congress or placed on the Supreme Court, or maybe - and I know
this is a long shot - maybe some day elected as a governor or even President. I know that atheists presently hold every seat in Congress and
every seat in every state house around the country - but you hang in there - someday a Christian will make it to the big show.

Until then, I will continue to send money to the "Save the Christian Fund" so that they can continue to live in their small reservation in Kansas.

 

I have too many friends to completely abandon Facebook but never do politics there. I quit Twitter. I use Parler now for most social media along with free MeWe. No reason for us conservatives to be abused on Google we hen there’s Duck Duck Go or on You Tube when there’s Rumble or on Facebook when there’s USA.Life or MeWe or on Twitter when we have Parler. Just like the mainstream media behavior led to the rise of alternative media, the big tech social media has learned nothing.

 

I am not a Conservative. But I also have no Freedom on Twitter -- nine of me got banned!

As long as sites like Parler exist, Free Speech sort of exists in USA.

They are trying to ban all Free Speech Social Media from Internet.

 

So what you are saying is there are dozens of other sites you can post your opinions on, but you want to force private companies to carry your opinions
even if they don't want to. So can I force Fox News to give me air time?

Incorrect. They banned you because you violated the PRIVATE company's rules. Just like when I was suspended three times on this site for violating site rules. The 1st amendment does not, has not ever applied to private companies.

 

I acknowledge that they can. Not arguing.

I would like to add three points for anyone who supports Freedom.

1) Keeping Free Speech social media like Parler, Minds, Bitchute, etc. online is more crucial then ever.

2) As long as Totalitarian Leftists pressure Social Media Giants to ban Conservatives and Independents, Conservative spaces should ban Leftists. Just my suggestion -- I am not blaming anyone for tolerating them.

3) Anyone who supports Free Speech should petition the governments of Nations where Totalitarian Leftist ideology is illegal to pursue thorough measures and impose toughest penalties. For instance, some Leftist propaganda may violate Article 282 of Russian Penal Code.

 

Many governments which crack down on Totalitarian Left in one form or another have wide support of the public. Their Laws are theirs to apply -- we can only warn them of the harm Left Totalitarianism has done in the West.

Internet is international, thus the position of all Nations matters.

 

The 1st Amendment is not subject to foreign opinion, and it matters not to me, nor to any patriotic American, what level of disinformation is used by these dictators to keep the rubes riled up.

 

Given Cancel Culture, all these Nations have much more Freedom then USA.

The Internet is global.

And I am not a Conservative. America was never "great". America was always oppressive in one way or another. Left Wing Totalitarianism is currently a product of Western Civilization.

 

Facebook is a private company. They can ban whomever they want for any reason. This thread appears to be about the 1st amendment.

 

You never had any freedom on twitter to begin with. A private company can censor you or ban you all day long.

 

Nobody is owed a platform, However, FOX is a poor analogy as social media =/= television network.
