True, but they'd probably justify that by making a distinction between tariffs (free trade) and non-tariff protectionism (conservatism). I wouldn't do that personally, but that's right wing economics...

    Benito Mussolini!?!

Hadn't thought of that one! You are spot-on with the ressemblance. Benito was just as self-possessed as Donald Dork is narcissistic ...

Which was foretold by the psychology profession as seen prior to the election here:

The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump"

Republicans want free market health care and will pass it as soon as there is enough support. Democrats openly want Obamacare or single payer communism. Do you understand?

World wide economic instability created by trade wars that also harm American well-being? Cretinous was being generous!

Trump probably thinks Ricardo is a male model he met at one of those "parties"

Actually dear stock markets at time highs does not indicate economic instability. 1+1 = 2

This is amusing on two levels. First, you're ignoring reality (from growth projections to "jittery markets"). Second, it beggars belief that you ignore that protectionism is destructive.

Actually the markets are always Jittery even when they are at all-time highs. Protectionism has not been destructive to China which has had 8%percent for 30 years

Friedman didn't support destructive use of tariffs. He got one thing right at least!

Please provide me with reference or source that shows Friedman supported destructive use of tariffs. Good luck (I hope the dodge will be imaginative)

Friedman supported free trade whether imposed by a dictator or democratic process or, certainly, tariff wars.

Friedman certainly cosied up to 'mass murdering' dictator. That does seem a 'given' for the right wing. The idea that he supported trade wars is obviously not credible. We also know that this isn't about free trade 'hope' as it's going hand in hand with attacks on the WTO dispute settlement. Trump is adopting destructive economic nationalism. He's doing that as he's pandering to right wing America (who are chanting U S A too loudly to hear any rational thought on how they will also be made worse off)

obviously cant be a given since right wing supports limited govt, not liberal dictatorship. 1+1=2

You seem to be struggling more today. You're the one that suggested he supported trade wars. Rivalled your libcommie in terms of cluelessness.

You've already tried this drivel. The American-European negotiations pre-datw Trump. There are many folk against them as they are likely to benefit corporation at expense of individual. That's not free trade, that's adding further economic rent from market power.
