An interesting read from the Washington Post:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...ory.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.87a0fafcf8a6

    Full title:

‘My whole town practically lived there’: From Costa Rica to New Jersey, a pipeline of illegal workers for Trump goes back years

    Snip:

The Washington Post spoke with 16 men and women from Costa Rica and other Latin American countries, including six in Santa Teresa de Cajon, who said they were employed at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. All of them said that they worked for Trump without legal status — and that their managers knew.

It would seem that Trump - who ran on the xenophobic & populist platform of quashing the hiring of illegal immigrant labor - has been economically benefitting from that very illegal labor for years now.

Is Trump the very problem he claims to be striving to solve?

Will his die-hard followers take note of these bombshell revelations and move away from this rancid tub of naked emporer?

Is anyone who has taken the slightest notice of who Trump actually is even mildly surprised to learn of his profound, core hypocrisy, dishonesty and greed?

Will this prove the nail in Trump's political coffin come November 2020, or will his sexism, our entry into a recession late last year, or his constant fascist dog-whistling for racist violence prove more the cause of his downfall?

There's a perfect explanation for why Trump doesn't want to do anything about illegal immigration.

    Oh wait, that's Democrats.

Neither corrupt wing of the oligarchy's political monopoly wants to do anything.

    But Trump is King Hypocrite.

Which means nothing when WaPo says some people say they worked there, and you have no idea if they used falsified documents to do so.

But sure, I bet they applied and listed "illegal alien" on their application and Trump interviewed and hired all of them personally.

Was that some bizarro RW talking point?

That white illegals are somehow less of a problem than illegals of color?

    Oy.

Obviously some people in glass houses insist upon throwing stones.

Did Bedminster Township Police Department turn the information over to ICE or detectives for further investigation? Using a false name and social security number are felonies.

Eh. When I worked at the Hyatt, I doubt the owner knew about the individual hiring practices of each place.

    Well, that's their job.

    And the law.

And it's what Trump ran on - being yuuuugely great at his job, and wanting to stop illegals from taking jobs from citizens.

    But other than that...

    :)

Nah, as tRUMP said so himself. He could shoot somone and his supporters will still stand by.
And some of them already chimed in here, it's ok he had illegals working for him.

One said that if they're available, it's wise to use them.

Dude, any company of that size will have policies in place but th guy at the top isn't going to be personally checking every single employees background info.

That's why they have an HR Dept.

Trump is never responsible for anything except of course his own hypocrisy.

Sure that's the same dodge every corrupt business person uses. We saw enough of that during the banking/ housing crisis. The top is never responsible for anything but somehow they get massive salaries and bonuses for being responsible when a company does well and of course often when a company doesn't do well.

Oh don't get me wrong, I think their needs to be more accountability, but there is also a reason you have mid level managers. It's simply I realistic for those at the top of structures that large to know the fine details of Everything.
