    https://www.politico.com/news/2021/01/11/gop-tech-retaliation-457945

“Donald Trump has spent the better part of his presidency railing against the big tech companies, accusing them of anti-conservative bias and demanding that Congress strip them of their legal protections.

Now he and his supporters are largely powerless to respond as the same companies muzzle him and one of their favorite alternative platforms.”

Republicans are facing the realization that Big Tech can shut down most of the Republican messaging, as well as deny advertising to republican candidates in the 75% of the internet “face space” they control. I doubt they would openly do that, but this is coming up as a concern in the California recall, since it’s $18 million pro recall and $42 million con. Big Tech is heavily represented by surrogates, and public union’s are all.

The republican party at this time has no public plan, except rumblings to create a national anti Big Tech movement in 2024.

The Republicans are going to have to create their own versions of Big Tech if they want to have any chance.

They've had many years to do this, but still there's almost nothing. The few options that do exist are bad and not very functional.

It's so ironic that Democrats seem to be the party of Big Business these days.

Trump tried to create his own platform and TV channel and they both failed miserably.

The market has spoken! His speech isn't muzzled. No, the problem is nobody cares what he says anymore.

Nothing ironic or surprising about it. Big business has been funding the left for decades.

More than that, as the old axiom goes, 'follow the money', the banking families have been funding all things left-wing for over 100 years.

It only makes sense that the rich would want to create a society of serfs, and the Democratic Party, more than the Republicans, have been faithfully pushing policies to give the rich ever more cheap labor.

Don't get me wrong, RINO's like McConnell are in the bag too, they just have to play the game a bit differently.

George Soros is closely connected to high finance. The Ford family, Rockefellers, etc... they're all hardcore leftists.

It's nothing new. Sadly, what you're seeing now is the culmination of over 100 years of work to destroy America, i.e. destroy our Constitution.

Once the Constitution is gone, which should be within 10 years (probably 5-8 ), they'll be able to codify serfdom in law, and will be able to wield government force against the masses.

The "American experiment" will be over, and global elites can rule with no threat to them or the system created.

The Roman Empire used to hand out free loaves of bread to the plebian masses to keep them placated.

Ever wondered why the right keeps returning to the left wing owned social media?

The moment the right sets up an alternative platform, they don't police it properly and the boards fill with wingnuts, conspiracy theorists, violent anarchists and porn stars spreading their trash everywhere. In other words: (like the world would be if the populist Right were in charge) utter chaos.

Well, I'm going to have to disagree with you. That's not what I have seen.
I'm not saying you are wrong, but I just am hesitant to believe that.
I think there are probably other big issues as well.

No he hasn't. He said he might but instead he just created a website and has his messages forwarded to several alt platforms. He also has videos on Rumble. He did not start his own. He tried to buy existing platforms though.

It was because of the below...
    1) Cannot download apps because Google and app won't let free speech apps in their stores
This leads to it being more difficult to use and lack of notifications on you phone
    2) Server and Database providers, mainly Amazon AWS, kick them forcing them to use their own servers.
This causes their website to be unreliable and slow.
    3) Business and advertisers avoid the platform at this point for fear of boycottes and PR from leftwing activism. This results in only businesses that don't get any business from the Left anyways.
    4) Banks refuse to do business with the application.
    5) The app has become so crippled and only the people who are banned from everywhere else stick around.

Good news: some apps are getting around these things like minds mewe and gab and are becoming more self-sustaining. More prominent people are starting to use them.

    Here's another : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gettr.gettr

There are plenty of alternative social media apps out there. I think you'll find people avoid them for my reasons, not yours.

they just have to learn to communicate without threatening civil war, spreading hate and inciting violence and the likes

many Republicans are posting and doing so without issue.. Follow the TOS... like everyone else and they will be fine

There are problems with unregulated capitalism. Once you get down to three or four players, the competition is effectively locked out, be it phones, movies, internet access, political views, or toothpaste.
I like to think the democrats would take the republicans’ side if Big Tech de platformed the Republicans.

a corporation having a TOS has been a part of capitalism for years, even your ISP probably has a TOS you have to follow, try sharing your network with the entire block, if they find out, bet your service goes dark

He is the leader of the Republican party. But eventually he will die.

In the mean time he lost, the world won, and trump will soon be a felon.

Progressive countries in places like the EU and Australia actually have the balls to take on tech and Wall Street. Shame America's right of center democratic party still bows down before them because Big Tech is anchored in their bluest state. Effing sell outs.
