Wasnt global warming named about the 95th thing people are actually worried about?

The left is currently clinging to things like destroying our economy to "combat" global warming and closing GITMO for some reason....things that normal people do not think is rational.

I dunno, but Gallup also phrased it as "global warming" instead of as "global warming/climate change" and at that point the number of people who are worried a "great deal" drops to a low 30%.

Liberal tyrants know that power to rule doesn't come from what most of the people want.

It comes from what a small number of well connected radicals want.

I'm a liberal. I'm generally a believer in CC. But we don't know if it will have the effects that are suggested and there is NO WAY the gop will go for anything that justifies more federal regulation until the coasts of a couple red states start to become submerged.

Sea levels were higher than they are now, 1000 years ago and there is no reason to believe they wont continue to rise to those levels again, without ANY influence by man.

    Oh, another one of these?

As I said the last time; I listen to scientists. I do not listen to average joes or politicians.

I could not conceivably care less about what random people think about climate change. Science doesn't give a crap about popularity, that's not how it works.

But you are trusting politicians to develop and implement policy to combat it....which is, quite frankly, completely insane.

That's of course assuming if we can combat it at all :D. Mind telling me how Carbon Taxes will keep the planet from not warming?

The climate has changed countless times over the last 4 billion years. In fact at one point it was so warm herbivore dinosaurs were living and eating plant life 400 miles from the north pole.

The Government has spent $22 Billion dollars a year on climate change research. Science cares about that.

no what we need to do is increase the cost of energy so that people cannot afford to heat and cool their homes and rely on energy sources that only work when the sun is shining and the wind is blowing. Then we export all our coal to China and India so they can run their manufacturing plants. Oh and lets not forget we need to send billions to third world dictators who have been adversely affected by that GM plant that you work at

Then God will smile and it will be a sunny 75F year round raining when the farmers want it to...Utopia!

Maybe when Obama is preaching about man made global warming and as Americans we all need to sacrifice and care about the environment while stepping on maybe one of the worlds largest carbon footprint jet to travel thousands of miles to play a game of golf with Comcast billionaires.
