The seventh season of award-winning fantasy drama "Game of Thrones" is set to premiere on July 16.

The announcement was made by HBO in an elaborate reveal on a live video on the show's Facebook page watched by over 150,000 fans, as a block of ice was melted by a flaming torch.

I bought Seasons 1 to 6 so its time to watch them all before July 16th, the Great War begins, and the big question with Her Majesty Queen Lannister survive to the last season. And what will the Iron Bank do they want their money if I was Danny I would give them with modest terms the Lannister Lands to repay the debt as long as they take care of the people under their governorship, they advise her assigning a Master of Coin, come to aid of the Crown if there is a war (maintain a decent army) and pay the Crown a modest tax per year but the land should remove much of the debt and give them a nice line of credit. Of course they would have to not support anyone else in the Game either. If she doesn't they might support someone else they consider reliable in the Canon its happened before in the back history.

I heard another rumor, and that is that they are going to change the ending and a few other things, so it doesn't get ruined by those who have read the book. And that they also got permission from the writers to do this, who I think is also involved in the production/directing. Do you know if that's true?

And Danny's dragons will be the size of 747's that is 230 ft. long with a comparable wingspans and the big boy will have a 30 ft. wide initial breath weapon width getting bigger and farther out. Lets see the main defense would be ballista like weapons arrows and my guess tossed spears now are pointless and the hide is likely to be proportionally tougher. I can see the first time a Lannister army sees these and figuring air superiority, flaming death and creatures that are largest things any of them have ever seen as proper shock and awe.

But on your question they haven't been following the books exactly for simple time to deal with major plot points.

It is the best series ever made. It pretty much up's the scale for all others. I mean how does one compete with Game Of Thrones?
I never read the book, and I wanted to wait until after the series, so nothing is ruined. Don't spoil anything if you know. But I think Khaleesi is going to end up in the ultimate throne. How can any of them defeat the dragons? I guess I can picture Khaleesi getting killed and the dragons just roam on their own, without a master.

Or they kill her and they obliterate the nearest large city, ahem, like King's Landing. But she is going to be hard to get to and they need her to fight the Night King without her dragons and army its likely a lost cause. I'm sure Jon will be trying to prove the threat to the various leaders and try to form a united front then in Season 8 they can screw each other over properly. :crossbones:

I just started from the beginning again to have the full history fresh in memory in July. It's breathtaking how well this story is told - every episode reveals new insights into how what happened in this episode matters in an episode much later in the series.

Dany is just getting to Qarth, now. I'm trying to savor it; stretch it out to get to July, but damn it's hard. So good, even on re-run.

I'm re-watching all six seasons to time my last episode to time it to be just before the new season starts.
