Oh no, not another bloody 'gay cake' saga? And they call us 'bigots'? https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...hers-bakery-northern-ireland-uk-supreme-court
"Delivering judgment in the court of appeal on the Ashers case in 2016, Northern Ireland’s lord chief justice, Sir Declan Morgan, said: “The supplier may provide the particular service to all or to none but not to a selection of customers based on prohibited grounds." ***** The Defendants have failed to prove unequivocally that by baking a Wedding cake for same sex Marriages that they are actually in fact in any substantial way promoting Gay Marriage.
Not before actually making a wee bit of sense is compulsory, and at this rate, not bloodly likely Mate.
It should be noted that this case wasn’t about an actual wedding cake but a cake for a political event with a political slogan printed on it. While I totally support the customers in the various actual wedding cake cases, I’m less certain on this one. I don’t think there is as strong a link between the (presumed) orientation of the customers and the cake here. Straight people are generally not going to have a same-sex marriage but they can certainly support and campaign for marriage equality.
It is a stupid cake. Kind of silly to make a political stand on a cake. NASA will never stand for it !
