Only the most extreme Republicans/Tea Party dare calling President Obama's policies a failure these days. In fact, President Obama has delivered the campaign promises made by his three main opponents in 2012!

History will certainly remember the determination of the GOP to "make Obama fail," and history will marvel at the standing power of this President to have not only maintained his calm and his vision, but also demonstrated the impotency of the extremists in the GOP.

 

Correct, this is why Obama is to be admired even more, for managing to resist and circumvent at least SOME of the "death wish" the extremists in the GOP imposed on the economy with the goal to "make Obama fail!"

In this post which criticizes me and misterveritis, you celebrate the publishing of statistics that trumpet growth at 3.9%, and actually I believe that it's been revised higher than that now. I said in my post that I don't dispute your statistics, Iriemon. Go back and you'll see it. What I did say, and what is true as a matter of fact, is that since Obama came into office the growth statistics had to be reduced from the initial claim. It hasn't been until 2nd-half of 2014 that we've seen anything different.

Indeed, why not? The Federal Reserve combine has toiled away, night and day, ever since August 2007 to artificially manipulate the economy of the United States. It had key people in power positions -- Hank Paulson under Idiot Bush, Timothy Geithner under Idiot Obama, and until February of this year, there was the guiding hand of the Supreme Overlord, Ben "Helicopter" Bernanke, mangling everything to rescue and protect investment bankers and stock market gamblers. The only thing that's truly amazing about the growth "statistics" is that it took so long for the Fed to roll this thing out like they wanted it to read. Bernanke/Yellen and their "Star Chamber" in the Fed have suppressed and virtually obliterated all the laws of a free-market economy. Think I'm wrong...?

At the mere suggestion that the Fed might allow even a tiny increase in interest rates, earlier this month the stock market plummeted downward almost a thousand points. After Janet Yellen (Bernanke without a beard) put out the message that interest rates would continue at near-zero for a while, the stock market went up almost a thousand points. But for Federal Reserve System scheming, interference, and manipulation, there is nothing! All of this gigantic FRAUD BALLOON they've created is exactly that -- a shell game, a sham, a completely manipulated economy run for the benefit of the same "1%-ers" you on the Left claim to despise so much.

While you on the Left are patting yourselves on the back for the "growth" and Obama's big success story (even though he played no part in any of this except to be Bernanke's PR handpuppet), please at least be aware of this: in the United States, gross government debt as a percent of GDP is over 106%. No other First-World nation approaches this galling level of irresponsibility. And the underlying question is this: what happens when we finally reach the point where we cannot even afford to pay interest on this debt, to say nothing of the principle...?!

I can (and do) respect Iriemon because he is consistently fact-based, even though we do disagree frequently about what those facts mean. You? The third quarter growth statistics weren't revised lower at all.

Your misinformed. The Fed does not publish GDP data. The Govt (BEA) does.

Sure stock markets like low interest rates. What is the gigantic FRAUD BALLOON you are referring to? The stock market? I have to disagree. Market P/Es are a little higher than average looking forward, suggesting the market is a bit overpriced, but nothing out of the ordinary.
