Will this go anywhere? I'm not sure he has any standing to sue. Is this another example of our litigious society:

    No, this won't go anywhere.

Zimmerman is the biggest schmuck there is. He's had his 15 minutes, now he should just go away.

I just read the Warren tweet. It does not mention Zimmerman directly or appear to defame him in any way. People that file these harassment lawsuits serve to illustrate that our legal system is primarily designed to make money for lawyers rather than achieving justice.

The Warren tweet is simply pandering to low information voters. If I was a black person, I would be insulted by her pathetic pandering.

Keep in mind that any one can sue any body any time for any thing. That doesn't mean they'll get a thing.

A Mexican white supremacist that was found not guilty sues a fake native American princess and a gay guy that has "partnerships" with local black businesses that never met him. LOLOLOL. I am not a Zimmerman fan but I hope he wins.

Zimmerman's attorney said "It is high time that the cheap and harmful use of the race card by politicians of all stripes be made to cease and desist.... their despicable 'race tactics' are not only causing great harm to persons such as my client George Zimmerman, but also are damaging relations between black and white Americans who are all brothers."

I agree with him. Particularly the part I underlined.

    I'm sick of this race-baiting bullsh*t. (#thanksObama)

    Here are the tweets:

They are absolutely defaming Zimmerman. Buttigieg in particular. They're basically calling him a racist and blaming the shooting on gun violence, even though the shooting had nothing to do with racism or gun violence. The shooting happened because Trayvon was a thug who made the mistake of trying to beat up a neighborhood watch volunteer without realizing he was armed. Period. Zimmerman was acquitted of all of the trumped up charges against him. (And even the fact that he was charged at all was racially/politically motivated #thanksObama.)

Self defense is self defense. It's not racism or gun violence or prejudice.

The person responsible for Trayvon's death was Trayvon. He shouldn't have attacked someone who turned out to be armed. See how easy that is? Personal responsibility ---- these radical lefties should try it.

Liberal politicians need to stop with the race card, the race baiting, the identity politics, and the victim mentality. I hated Obama for pushing race relations back 50 years, and these virtue signalers seem determined to carry on his tradition.

I'd actually love to see Zimmerman win, just to teach them a lesson. Although he'll probably lose, I still hope this lawsuit is a wake up call.

    Quit. F***ing. Race. Baiting.

There should absolutely be punishment for frivolous lawsuits.

    Have fun with that.

I suspect that is true. In spite of the crucial fact that he was acquitted of all charges, he'll still forever be remembered for the Trayvon/Zimmerman case because of how it was so shamefully politicized.

He's going to have a hard time proving slander when the tweets don't mention him by name, or even mention him in any capacity.

No, he will be remembered because he shot an unarmed person after instigating the fight in which he had to defend himself with deadly force despite being told not to by actual police.

Your version is funny. If you want to debate the Zimmerman case with me, educate yourself first, or this will be the last time I reply to you on the matter. I'm not interested in the politicized Obama-corrupted leftie-spun race card version. "Poor sweet innocent Trayvon.........." :roflol:

Defaming George Zimmerman?? Don't make me laugh... Oops... Too late..

This lawsuit is a wake up call that a lot of lawsuits are ridiculous... I'm already awake to that fact (Devin Nunes vs Devin Nunes Cow)

LOL.. you guys will never learn that pesky detail about American jurisprudence...

Nobody is found innocent... you are guilty or not guilty... that (plus mistrial) is the entire menu...

The best way to handle frivolous lawsuits would be to simply make the plaintiff and the plaintiff's attorney pay all legal bills, court costs and be fined the full amount they are suing for.

    They would stop overnight.

I'm not interested in your right-wing Trayvon the Thug nonsense either. Even if Trayvon was, George Zimmerman was harassing him and acting as if he had authority that he did not. He instigated the situation and set in motion the events that caused Trayvon's death. According to the law, it was right not to convict Zimmerman of murder under the SYG laws, but that doesn't absolve his personal responsibility for what happened.

If you would prefer to exist in some alternative reality narrative, then consider me mutually interested in no longer talking about it either.
