yeah I already know what it means. Is that a typical meal that you think is reasonable or based on the definition...would it be extravagant?

Some states actually serve the special meal a day or two ahead of the execution, which makes good sense. Hard to picture somebody being very hungry the day of.

    1) It's typical.
    2) Most last meals are from the prison kitchen. It's not like they can order lobster and Kobe beef steaks. They select from what's available.

It's typical fare. Nothing extravagent. The only thing is the quantity. Do you really think the "fish sandwich" was more than fish sticks on bread? Or that the "spicy chicken breasts" were more than frozen prepackaged ones?

"three spicy chicken breasts, roast beef sandwich with sauce, fish sandwich, tater logs, onion rings, apple pie and a vanilla milkshake"

Not 'extravagant" in my book. A lot of food for me? Yes. But for someone who is eating their last meal, I have no issues with it.

It's not lobster and top end steak, caviar and champagne.

facepalm......its the quantity that is extravagant! No one except for Hillary Clinton can hork down three chicken breasts, a roast beef sandwich, fish sandwich, tater logs, onion rings, applie pie and a milkshake. Too bad for him hes not as good at killing people as she is.

It's not that much quantity. Enough for two, yes. Ten? No. Remove the "a roast beef sandwich, fish sandwich, tater logs" and you have what? A typical Sunday meal. Are you really having a conniption over canned roast beef on bread, frozen fish sticks on bread and a couple of "tater logs"? Fine. Have at it.

No Im pointing out that people arent aware of the correct use of extravagant. The word was used correctly in the article. Yes take away the extravagant amount of food and of course you are left with what would be considered a normal meal.

Disagreed. I doubt any sane, reasonable person is going to call an extra $5 worth of prison food "extravagant".

The real proof will be if he finishes it.
Personally, I would have used the word excessive, not extravagant.

    Me personally?

I would have gone with a Ruth's Chris medium rare filet. Cream spinach, two corn on the cob dripping in butter, three of those amazing hawaiin sweet rolls, two Jamba Juice smoothies (Ultimate Acai + Orange Dream) and finished it off with a 'hand packed quart' of rainbow sherbert from Baskin Robbins.

    mmmmm....

Actually, I think I am gonna try to arrange this for tonight now that I have it typed in front of me!

There are reasons for this, in the past 'non isolation' ended up creating a lot of F#ck it mentality. When they were put with others out in the yard they would atttack and often kill them

Sadly for them, because of past instances, death row people need to be isolated beyond anyone else. If I knew I was going to die, I would start fist fights with everyone I could until "I died like a man"!

Ok .... yeah .... doesn't get anymore keyboard tough guy than that sentence does it? But seriously, I would be TERRIFIED of having to sit in that chair while they injected me and as someone who has been in the cage to fight 4 times, I know what getting knocked out feels like. It really isn't that painful at all, lump on the head, some ringing of the ears depending on where you got hit, the actual most annoying one is 'lock jaw' if you get hit sqaure in the mouth

Perhaps just keep attacking until someone puts me down for good
