Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) asked judges in the Georgia county not to schedule trials and in-person hearings in roughly the first half of August, a signal she may bring charges against former President Trump during that time.

Willis also indicated about 70 percent of her staff will work remotely on various days in August, according to a letter sent Thursday to local judges, law enforcement officials and elected officials.

“I respectfully request that judges not schedule trials and in person hearings during the weeks beginning Monday, August 7 and Monday, August 14,” Willis wrote. “If judges schedule in person hearings during the post-conference days when my office will be working partially remote, senior leadership will handle those proceedings.”

A prosecutor wouldn't need to notify his employees to work from home or alert the authorities if a Democratic politician was arrested.

There would be no risk of rioting either.

That's what the MAGA did with the US.

A more dangerous country dominated by a cult of personality devoted to a criminal.

    Thoughts ?

So roughly 3 months from now we will know if Trump will pay for his transgressions with his false election claims, let alone the conspiracy to overturn it. I got my fingers crossed, and my guess is Trump's actions and tweets will give us a hint on his predicament.

It's not just the pursuit of Willis.

Jack Smith completes his investigation into the 1/6 riot and the stolen top secret documents.

.... And there's the Trump Org tax fraud.

Braggs' lawsuit is a joke next to all of this.

The walls are closing in on Trump.

His only way out is to be elected POTUS to shield himself from justice.

    First, I hope you're right.

Second, I gotta say "I'll believe it when I see it."

    Of course.

He will continue to tell his MAGA that he is the victim of a vast conspiracy and they will blindly believe him.

If Trump's morality, demagoguery or illegality had any impact on his followers, he would have been forced to resign as President.

Good new that Smith & Co are addressing the firing of Krebs.

'Trump White House Aides Subpoenaed in Firing of Election Security Expert'
    Source: New York Times

'The special counsel investigating former President Donald J. Trump’s efforts to cling to power after he lost the 2020 election has subpoenaed staff members from the Trump White House who may have been involved in firing the government cybersecurity official whose agency judged the election “the most secure in American history,” according to two people briefed on the matter.

The team led by the special counsel, Jack Smith, has been asking witnesses about the events surrounding the firing of Christopher Krebs, who was the Trump administration’s top cybersecurity official during the 2020 election. Mr. Krebs’s assessment that the election was secure was at odds with Mr. Trump’s baseless assertions that it was a “fraud on the American public.”

Mr. Smith’s team is also seeking information about how White House officials, including in the Presidential Personnel Office, approached the Justice Department, which Mr. Trump turned to after his election loss as a way to try to stay in power, people familiar with the questions said.

The investigators appear focused on Mr. Trump’s state of mind around the firing of Mr. Krebs, as well as on establishing a timeline of events leading up to the attack on the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob on Jan. 6, 2021. The latest subpoenas, issued roughly two weeks ago, went to officials in the personnel office, according to the two people familiar with the matter'.

Krebs served from 11-18 to 11-20 when Trump fired him on Twitter.

    snip:

"On December 8, 2020, Krebs filed a civil lawsuit against diGenova, the Trump campaign, and Newsmax TV, accusing them of "defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, aiding and abetting, and civil conspiracy". He said that he has received "a barrage of threats and harassment" as a result of diGenova's comments and "faces a genuine risk of imminent harm".

The person in that position serves AT THE PLEASURE of the President and can be fired at any time for any reason the President so chooses. What is the crime here?

"The Director is appointed from civilian life by the President with the consent of the Senate to serve at the pleasure of the President."

He's not suing for being fired.

Why do you claim I am claiming he is suing? Try again the person in that position servers AT THE PLEASURE OF THE PRESIDENT. What is the crime for him being fired by the President?

You asked what the crime was. Being fired wasn't a crime. Krebs lawsuit listed what he thought were crimes.

Wasn’t a crime. Though it isn’t surprising to see more non crimes attacked as crimes by Dems. Corruption at its finest.

"has subpoenaed staff members from the Trump White House who may have been involved in firing the government cybersecurity official "
"The investigators appear focused on Mr. Trump’s state of mind around the firing of Mr. Krebs, "

For what he serves at the PLEASURE of the President why would there be a criminal investigation into it?

Since when does the law state the Presidents mind must be in some state to exercise his plenary power to fire someone who serves AT HIS PLEASURE?
