here we go, Greeces national debt clock.

68% of this, owed to Germany.
    http://www.nationaldebtclocks.org/debtclock/Greece

    327 billion.
    70% times 327 = 230 ish.

For Greece to have repaid 90 billion profits to Germany, interest rates would have to have been about 25%.
    Actually it is 2.5%.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...ths-about-Greeces-enormous-debt-mountain.html

Greece has so far defaulted on 71% or it's debt.

Meaning for every £100 Germany has ever lent them, it now only owes £29 in return.

So Germany is currently about 150 billion down.
Greece is currently about 150 billion Euros up on Germany.

Very loose maths. But that sort of ballpark.

That the greek debt crisis is the reason for the weak currency and in return leads to negative interest rates for german state bonds + record high exports doesnt crossed your mind i guess. People actually pay Germany to give it money.

150 billion euros is peanuts for a nation that has a 68 billion budget surplus.

Sure, that's true. But why were the Germans forced to save the Greeks?

Because they need the trade zone.

The other Europeans will learn the power they have over you, and the French will be the first to leverage it.

    History never really goes away.

What we see on this forum matters. Americans have a completely warped view of the world, and Eurasians don't get along when push comes to shove.

Do you have any links I could go over as to your point of view?

As someone waaaay on the outside who has only seen a couple of western based articles, from the information that I have seen, all of it supports Turkey being a big loser if and when this issue gets more and more prominent.

Germany has stated they will do it financially and very slowly which I respect. I personally would most likely slap some big sanctions on right away with some of the latest issues. But if Turkey doesn't begin to turn the other way German sanctions and propaganda would be a nightmare for Turkey as about HALF of their global trade is with the EU, which is dominated by Germany.

Germany is the ultimate EU propaganda machine, they are rich, currently have the moral high ground and have a massive positive influence on the entire continent. If this negative press campaign continues, I could easily see Turkey losing a ton of income from tourism and trade as it goes on an on.

While on the other hand, I don't see this as something that would damage German influence or fiscal power at all

Nah mate, we like our Jews.
I've been playing video games with my German surnamed mate.
For about 10 years I have been teasing him about being a Nazi.

Bit of clanger really, he's from a German jew family!

That's a picture of Tottenham, the Jewish area I London.
They aren't all anti Israeli there. You will see Israeli flags being waved at their football matches.
I've never seen a Jewish anti Israeli demo before. But it was an interesting image, so I chose it over some random guys in their yid suits.

150 billion is two + years of exports for a nation with a budget surplus of 68 billion. Two+ years of every exporter in Germany working for free.

Germany is definitely a power house. I agree whole heartedly in this. Your trade imbalance while impressive, is not something I would stand for in my own country. The government would fall.
    You need better tariffs.

Frankly on Greek debt my sympathies are entirely with Germany, it is a colossal act of charity for which you will only get verbal abuse in return. Only get demands that you pay more.
They will bite the hand that feeds them, to get it to feed them more.

So yes, Germany does need to give the stuff it over produces away, but it would be smarter to work less and keep more.
Not to over produce at all.
    That is a **** up.

Turkey already states its all a big misunderstanding bla bla bla. Funny how they changed tone. It shows that our appeasement was a failure.
