It seems that Brendon Nelson is quite joyous in announcing a $500 million upgrade for the Australian War Memorial. Half a billion dollars to create a peace and solitude room and an area dedicated to more recent wars Australians have been sent to fight in.
On the other side of the ledger, Morrison announces funding "changes" to Foodbank

Great to see out politicians pushing their own barrows (maybe to be the next Governor General) and forgetting about the poor and homeless.

Many in the COALition don't believe in climate change, some to extremes saying that we have never been safer from climate change because we mine, because we have coal powered power stations, because of concrete and steel.

Then they give $500 million to an organization who's primary goal is to find ways to repair the damage to the Great Barrier Reef caused by climate change.

Then there is $50 million for a statue of Captain Cook

Seems like they are rolling in OUR money

Meanwhile I have a hospital whose main building had concrete cancer and is twenty years overdue for paint!

Wow and I saw somewhere the government is paying welfare to people, I think they should be giving it to farms so they can grow food we can eat...

OR in other words, YOU don't agree with how the money is spent because you have your own personal agenda that you expect to paid for. You don't accept that majority don't feel your way so all you do is complain.

Sh*t one person is complaining the government doesn't believe in climate change so spending money to address issues of climate change is wrong...

Diuretic is right but don't expect the next lot to be any better. Clearly they haven't learnt from the past are destined to repeat the same mistakes. I don't see a party or politician who actually has Australia's interest at heart. Should one appear, I don't care who they represent they will have my vote...

Yes you can see the desperation in their knee jerk policies.
All we get here is criticism by the few who believe that what happens to you is your own fault and that safety nets are for bludgers.

These same people are the ones who thought that a royal commission into banks was not necessary and even tries to make out that the banks committed no crime because there is no legislation that they have to hold them accountable.

It's like the squealing of a pig just before the knife cuts it's throat. They know that they have corrupted and perverted any good that capitalism has brought and denigrate the good done by unions and liberal minded people while they sit back and enjoy the spoils. Pathetic is the only word for them. The ones the governments, both sides protect are the least at contributing to society. Oh yes they invest their usually I'll gotten fortunes but only for a good return on their investment other than that they contribute nothing much like some posters here who are rich in their critique and bankrupt in ideas

Oh dear, we hit a nerve did we?

Clearly, deliberate misleading in attempt to provide insult is nothing new here. BUT just to point out how stupid this comment is, THE comment was not about welfare, drought or even the misguided attempt to cast disparagement on government for doing exactly what was demanded of them.

I love the way you criticise capitalism as opposed to unionism... Interesting that the Unions wouldn't exist without capitalism...

The comment was about the fact everybody has different ideals of how government should spend money.

BUT hey, spew your hate and bigotry. Simply shows the value of your comment.
