I read this statement of Western fake news. But the reality is completely different. The Russian military is destroying terrorists and carrying out humanitarian operations. Do not confuse bloodthirsty killers - the NATO soldiers with Russian soldiers who protect civilians and the sovereignty of other countries from aggressive madmen from the white house and the Pentagon.

You lived on the moon?... Of course, the US, specifically the CIA, created the Taliban and al Qaeda. This has long been known to everyone. I'm surprised that you do not know about this. The United States created and supported these terrorist organizations in the 1980s. To fight the Russians in Afganistan. Even US officials admit this.
The US also created ISIS. To destabilize the situation in the Middle East. But it's good that you do not deny it.

    What a surprisingly naive post.

Our government, and all governments, have used various levels of torture in the best interests of their country. They will do it again...and again...and again...when they deem it necessary. This is the big leagues with the highest of stakes.

No one has clean hands here. No one.

To fix your post and make it factual:

Our government, and all governments, have used various levels of torture in the best interests of the government.

Now we can agree. International treaties and the US Constitution are just gdamn pieces of paper.

She's certainly a fine dystopian role model for the career oriented, upwardly mobile school shooter.

No, she's the kind of administrator that would have more guns on the scene than just the shooter's. Liberal nightmare.

Then hang on to them for dear life because facts seem to be pretty subjective when they are political.

Nothing political that the torture tapes were destroyed by Gina Haspel.
And that guards admit people got killed with waterboarding.
    Them are historic facts.

Rand Paul to oppose Gina Haspel as CIA director over her 'gleeful joy' at torture

The Republican senator Rand Paul said on Wednesday he would oppose Donald Trump’s nomination of Gina Haspel for director of the CIA, accusing her of having shown “joyful glee” during the torture of terrorism suspects.

Paul also announced that he would try to block the president’s nomination of the current CIA director, Mike Pompeo, to succeed Rex Tillerson as secretary of state.

The Kentucky senator’s stance could be especially awkward for Haspel, who is under scrutiny for reportedly overseeing a secret CIA prison in Thailand where detainees endured so-called enhanced interrogation techniques.

“To really appoint the head cheerleader for waterboarding to be head of the CIA?” Paul told reporters on Capitol Hill. “I mean, how could you trust somebody who did that to be in charge of the CIA? To read of her glee during the waterboarding is just absolutely appalling.”

Paul highlighted a ProPublica article from last year about a book written by one of the interrogators at the “black site” prison, recalling the waterboarding of the al-Qaida suspect Abu Zubaydah.

He said: “The quote from one of the interrogators says that Gina Haspel said: ‘Good job! I like the way you’re drooling. It adds to the realism. I am almost buying it. You wouldn’t think a grown man would do that.’

“When you read that, sort of the joyful glee at someone who’s being tortured, I find it just amazing that anyone would consider having this woman for head of the CIA. So my opposition to her is over her direct participation in interrogation and her gleeful enjoyment at the suffering of someone being tortured.”

Haspel’s confirmation would send a “terrible” message to the world, Paul added. “I don’t want the message to be that if members of our armed services are captured that, since torture’s OK with the Americans, it’s going to be fine to torture Americans when they’re captured, and I think that is the message that it sends.”

    Skipping ...

The Republican senator John McCain, who is undergoing treatment for brain cancer and has not voted in months, said on Tuesday: “The torture of detainees in US custody during the last decade was one of the darkest chapters in American history. Ms Haspel needs to explain the nature and extent of her involvement in the CIA’s interrogation program during the confirmation process.

McCain didn't actually say he's opposed to this war criminal but at least he asked that she explain herself. As is there's any explanation that could possibly justify that kind of scum as head of the CIA. Oh wait, what am I saying, the CIA has been infested by scum since its inception. It fits the mentality of the war-criminal-in-chief perfectly.

'Bloody Gina' Should Not Lead the CIA
    By John Kiriakou

President Trump’s nomination of CIA Deputy Director Gina Haspel to be the new director returns the country to the bad old days of torture and secret prisons. Trump couldn’t be any clearer that he has come down on the side of the architects of the George W. Bush-era torture policy. Haspel was a protégé of Jose Rodriguez, the CIA’s notorious former deputy director for operations and former director of the Counterterrorism Center (CTC), known as the godfather of the torture program. Haspel served as Rodriguez’s chief of staff at CTC.

Haspel has been at the CIA for 33 years. She’s been described in the media as a “seasoned intelligence veteran,” with an “uncanny ability to get things done” and as someone who “inspires those around her.” I’m sure that’s true for some. But many of the rest of us who knew and worked with Gina Haspel at the CIA called her “Bloody Gina.”

The CIA will not permit me to talk about Haspel’s time overseas. Suffice it to say that others already have, and her career has been well documented in the media. Most importantly, it was Haspel whom Rodriguez ordered to destroy videotaped evidence of the torture of Abu Zubaydah, who many of us believed, incorrectly, to be the third-ranking person in al-Qaida. And that was after the White House counsel told her to preserve everything. She never apologized or even attempted to explain herself. Rodriguez called her a patriot. I would say that she committed “obstruction of justice,” a felony.

Haspel’s appointment as CIA director is wrong for a number of reasons. First, just imagine the message this sends to the CIA workforce: Engage in whatever war crimes or crimes against humanity you want, and there won’t be any repercussions. Don’t worry about ethics. Don’t worry about morality. We’ll cover for you. And you can destroy the evidence, too.

I wish for more guillotines. It makes the elites closer to the ground (well, at least their heads, in any case). It's an old tradition found here and there: Kings and heads of states are executed by chopping off the head. Before lady Guillotine it was a simple executor with an axe. It's a lot more humane than torture.

A guillotine means "the people have taken over". There should be one in every center of towns, as a reminder for our fat cats.

This argument (even if it was true) wouldn't go far in a legitimate court of law - and that's precisely why the torturees were never brought to one.

No one should want another French Revolution where the "people" decide who lives and dies. Robespierre was a victim of his own philosophy.

Thank goodness there are so many torture enthusiasts here in these United States! With a torture queen like Haspel in charge, the US can return to its moral dungeon claimed by Dubya and Company. Trump will be very happy to fulfill his campaign practice. We will be the shining beacon on a hill for torture!

Yeah when dealing with terrorists who are constantly trying to kill mass amounts of people in the U.S, we should be nice, feed them well, make sure they get TV and above all a computer or other source while in prison to communicate with their terrorist organizations...maybe that way they won't have to skip a beat regarding scheduling terrorist bombings, like that at the Boston Marathon, and make sure planes are in perfect sync when heading for places like the world trade center....that way there will be no inconvenience and they'll be able to do it straight from their cells!

By no means should the U.S. do anything that might upset them for sure. Treating them nicely will no doubt be all that's needed to make them comply and give them second thoughts about serving Allah and killing infidels. It will for sure eliminate all the brainwashing they've received since birth.
