Giuliani is apparently the President's "new Fixer." Will he suffer the same fate as the last Fixer?

Trump's modus operandi seems to be the same in either case. They work cheap and in return he allows them to use his "brand name" opening up other deals to them. This seems to have been the way Cohen worked for him as his "personal attorney." Eventually, the government catches up to the side-deals and leads to the personal attorney flipping to avoid lengthy prison time. That's what Rudy meant by his "insurance." I'd also suggest that this was also a mob method, giving the "Lieutenants" a piece of the action, in return for loyalty and services.

Rudy has licked trump's shoes ever since trump didn't give him SOS. He's as crooked as the rest or them.

And is that supposed to shock us? Change our views on some? Make us feel bad?

Even if everything that Trump and his associates are guilty of everything they have been accused of. They are still better than what the dems are offering.

I don't know if "fixer" is the right word. Maybe "new extortionist", seeing how he's been saying that he has an "insurance policy" in case Trump decides to throw him under the bus.

They're 2 peas in a pod-both have always been about number 1 and screw everyone else. Even when Rudy was mayor of NYC he couldn't tell the truth. The best Rudy story is him announcing he was divorcing his 3rd wife from the steps of city hall even before he had papers sent to his wife. Really classy. Oh yeah he lied to the 911 commission also. "America's Mayor" such propaganda.

A lot of people around Trump have ended up in prison. Interesting that so many of our President's close associates are felons, and he is facing impeachment and removal from office for asking for foreign interference in our Presidential election and using bribery as a motivational tool.

But his base loves him. Beats me as to why. Perhaps it is kinship.

Only if he did the same corrupt **** before he became the president's"fixer" as Cohen did and then promises to turn canary to avoid a sentence.

No, it shouldn't shock you...it's par for the course. Change your views? That's impossible. When your answer to the posting is that it will not shock you or make you feel bad it is proof that your mind cannot be changed and that you are happy in your ill informed, fact devoid world. While that should make me sad, it doesn't. It makes me angry that you are allowed to vote.

Hmmm...I think "fixer" covers whatever it takes...extortion being one.
His "base" is easily misled. They enjoy him as an "entertainer," the same way the children of Hamlin enjoyed the Pied Piper.

And, yes. It's either a pardon or state's evidence. Rudy's too old to spend the rest of his life in jail. Of course, Manafort and Flynn may be in line ahead of him.

You are dealing with the theoretical. My statement regarding Trump was reality. You are dealing with candidates for President over a year from now. I am dealing with the idiot you support who is our current President.

The so-called socialist candidates, Warren and Sanders, are losing ground. The moderates, Biden and Buttigieg, are gaining ground. Another Trumpet who has no idea what he is talking about.

They are also extremely uninformed. Having voted for Trump, they don't want to know. There is a thread entitled, "To impeach or not to impeach, that is the question." It details the impeachment inquiry and it is updated daily. The vast majority of Trump's supporters have never responded to the thread.

Considering the fact that the House Judiciary Committee will begin hearings next week to determine if Trump will be impeached and if that committee will be drafting Articles of Impeachment, the issue is rather important.

Does his base care? Well, it is hard to tell. Perhaps not, they may think the damage has been done, and there is nothing they can do about it now.

In the meantime, very few in Trump's base are defending Trump.

That's right., the people who disagree with you are misinformed.. what a crock

Prove them guilty in a court pf law.. till then they are innocent.. your attitude is why o cannot in good conscience vote democratic.

Believing it's ok to assign guilt before it is proven in court is extraordinarily corrupt, unamerican, and downright scary for the future.

Forgive me, but I think you might be confused. Trump has not been adjudged guilty except by a lot of critics, not the law nor the House. Impeachment is basically a method by which high officials may be indicted, much like a grand jury. It means that there is sufficient evidence for the case to move forward. In impeachment, that means to the Senate where an actual trial takes place. The Senate will decide if a defendant is guilty or innocent.
