Merely donating humanitarian aid to these illegal alien children is not wrong.

I will evaluate Beck by his overall position on open borders and amnesty and offhand I don't know what that is.

But I ill say that if beck has an extra million laying around that he just HAS to give away to needy children there are American kids who should get first priority in my opinion.

But we are not clones of each other.

Beck is one of the biggest drama queens on the right.

He over dramatizes everything.

But the idea that his career is hanging in the balance is laughable.

As I said, I respect glen beck when he's on track and overlook his kookiness when he isn't.

No offense Trucker, but this has got to be one of the most asinine things I have seen you post. Are you really upset with Beck for being emphatically towards the plight of these children? It is not the children's fault. This situation is a direct result of failure of our Federal Government. Our Government is the one to blame 100%. Just because Beck chooses to help the children that have found themselves in a very intolerable situation, we should not lose our humanity to the point where we see them as the perpetrators instead of the victims. They ARE victims. They are victims of a deplorable situation in their home country....they are victims of having their families torn apart.....they are the victims of our own Government that created this situation. We can still be gravely upset with the situation that created this mess, while still being sympathetic towards those that are just trying to survive and live their lives without fear.

p.s. That is not a masonic symbol on Beck's shirt (yes, it has a similar shape, but it's shape does not make it a masonic symbol).....but so what if it is. There have been many great men of our past and present that were part of the masonic organization. It is not some evil cult that some believe it to be.

This misplaced compassion for illegals is becoming nauseating when taken to extremes by the compassionate crowd.

Is compassion ever misplaced? Is providing comfort to children now considered "extreme"? I agree that this issue need to be addressed, but addressing it in a callous manner or with a callous attitude is not the right way. Showing humanity is not a sign of weakness. Showing humanity is also not a sign of acceptance towards the situation.

If you read my first post I'm not bashing glen beck for extending a little charity to the kids.

But I am more interested to know if he supports closing the border and turning these children away in the future.

 

I listen to Beck once in awhile.....he never gave me the impression that he does not support closing the border or that immigrants should be allowed into our country without going through the proper channels. In fact, I believe he has been fairly vocal on the opposite. I don't see how his empathy towards these children supports open borders or illegal immigration.

Actually Boehner has actually figured it out and is calling for changes in the William Wilberforce Victems Protection Reauthorization Act signed by Bush. And Bush was only a "Compassionate Conservative" not a bleeding heart liberal.
