because of Republicans, people will only get $600.00 vs the $2000.00 the dems and Trump wanted... Sad!

Trump must already be losing his hold on Republicans in Congress

Damn, I struck a nerve lol. But no, I'm not a 'stop the steal' person. So that's the second baseless assumption you've lobbed my way. Go for the hat trick dairy!

All the whining and threatening from Trump
resulted in the unemployed losing $300 this week which wouldn't have happened if he signed the bill last night.

This is why Trump is unfit to be president. The foreign money in the COVID relief bill is spent every year. This bill is basically 2 bills combined into 1. If it was called OMNIBUS spending bill 2020 he probably would have signed it ina heartbeat. Once again, he basically fools his entire base into thinking democrats pushed for pork spending over COVID relief. Do you Trumpers ever get tired of getting played?

You keep saying “dems” but “cons” inserted more pork than the “dems” did (by total amount) and a “con” just signed it into law after punting it a few days to burry his corrupt pardons. Maybe you should look at your own party.

Because we have allowed our government to do whatever they want as long as they point to the finger at the other party and scream it is their fault.

No one holds their representatives accountable.

    LOL!
Your posts prove your statement here wrong.
From the outset you claimed, strongly I might ad, that trump won and the election was stolen.
    You carried on for weeks.
Why is the truth so hard for the radical right?

Congress critters get re-elected at a 90%+ rate. If you kept getting rave performance reviews, why would you dramatically change the way you do your job?

No nerve struck on my part. And I apologize for my rudeness. It was uncalled for.

You asked why a covid bill has 5000 pages of pork. It doesn't.

There were two parts to the bill that trump signed and had 90% approval from Congress. The most bipartisan bill in a while.

    So True....

We need the brewsters millions approach, none of the above, 3rd party ballots from top to bottom, starting in 2022.

I did that in 2016, but only about 3% did the same, our votes were useless.

    vote
    them
    all
    out

    (never going to happen, unfortunately)

It's amazing how Congress can be consistently between 10 and 20% approval and still get relelected at that 90% clip.

Maybe something else is in play? Campaign finance perhaps?

Yup. People bitch and bitch and bitch about pork, but tell them to just vote their congress creature out? "But, but, I like my porkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!"

Yeah. As long as they bring home the goods, they will get re-elected. That isn't a left/right thing. That's a human thing.

I'll go a step further, setting the pork aside.

"I hate congress, but not my rep/senator, good people, so you vote yours out, they are terrible"

We could replace the entire HOR and 1/3 of the senators in 2022, but we won't, because we are dumb dumb dumb

FWIW, If my wife (and son) and I get a combined $6000 from the Feds in January, something is really wrong as the targeting is off... We got $2900 in May (I think) and we didn't need that either. The GOP might actually have a point on that one, which pains me to say.

We aren't swimming in loot, but we are not remotely hurting either, like many millions are..

I sort of wish there was some way to refuse on an individual or family basis...

Who has some ideas on what we could do with any second pass of stimulus coming our way, whatever the amount??

It's been my wish for over 20 years, now. Imagine the scrambling OUR employees would do if they knew we were serious about holding them accountable. We need a national movement. Party would be 100% irrelevant if we could accomplish that. They'd spend two years scratching their heads trying to figure out what went wrong.

There would be no time to worry about cakes and abortions.

On tax forms, I think there is a donation box if you want to give more to the gov't?

We need to start a national campaign. If one doesn't like what the gov't does, vote out every incumbent. No matter who they are. Or how good you thing they are.
High rate of turn over will send a message.

We just got our check about three weeks ago. We gave most of it to a few charities; mostly food banks and toys for tots.
