Strange that the left biased U.S. media did not report on this fairytale either ?? And equally strange (well not really) that there are no total economic effects estimated.

The MSM self-identifies as leftist and reports the news from that bias, obviously. Imagine hearing in the MSM that the right does not support this or that spending program because they support freedom and limited govt as our Founders did.

Then you'd know they were being fair but we are miles from that.

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch)—Private-sector hiring held steady in July, as employers added 179,000 jobs in July after a revised 176,000 job gains in the prior month, ADP reported Wednesday. ... Economists had expected a July gain of 165,000, compared with an originally reported increase of 172,000 in June.

Economists use ADP’s data to get a feeling for the Labor Department’s employment report, which will be released Friday and covers government jobs in addition to the private sector.

Economists polled by MarketWatch expect the government’s report to show that nonfarm employment rose by 185,000 last month compared with the strong June gain of 287,000 jobs.

The ADP has shown steady job growth while the government data has been volatile.

I can simplify so that even a liberal can understand:

protecting and crippling our industries, tariff taxing the American people, starting trade wars and perhaps real wars is not smart policy. Most economists turned against tariff protection when it started the Hawley Smoot Great Depression and WW 2 . Now surely you understand?

    The Golden Rule:
the more with whom you trade the richer you get no matter if they are across the street or across the world; the fewer with whom you trade the poorer you get. If you could not trade at all you'd have to make everything yourself and so you'd starve to death or live a subsistence life style. Hence, the more with whom you trade the richer you get no matter if they are across the street or across the world. You may post the Golden Rule of free trade on fridge for daily review.

I agree with this premise. Your blame of the GOP is misplaced, however.

the world has free trade because it is the one thing most economists with Ph.D's agree upon. If each person had to make what he consumed each person would die. Do you understand?? 1+1=2. Notice that I made it simple enough that all liberals can understand it- right?

The reason that the world's civilization has advanced at such a rapid rate with respect to the standard of living is specialization of labor. In other words people rely on others for what they consume. IMO the liberals have succeeded in developing a electorate which has no knowledge of economics by controlling the curriculum in the public school system - the high school I attended in the '60's had a class on economics. You can see that in the policy recommendations that economic growth is dependent of government spending, isolationism, and raising the minimum wage. All in effect reduce economic growth. It's breathtaking and sad to see such ignorance of basic economics.

I hate to say it but you talk 10 miles over a liberals head. You have to remember the IQ level you are dealing with. I like the idea of a liberal imagining every individual on earth making and consuming his own stuff and starving to death because he does not believe in trade. Is there an even simpler way to explain it?
