In an interview with the newspaper Excelsior, the sheriff of Maricopa County in Arizona, Joe Arpaio, said that the United States should send U.S. troops to Mexico and members of the Border Patrol, because he believes that it would help eradicate criminal groups in Mexico.

"I think we should help Mexico by going there with our Border Patrol and our military, working together to try to ease the cartel massacres, killings o

Arpaio like Holder needs to be censured by Issa for this *Fast & Furious* idea where thousands of *innocent* mexicans would be killed.

I was thinking more along the lines of impeaching the government.

The government war on drugs does nothing but creates a market that is unregulated and tends toward monopoly through violence. This also perpetuates violence throughout the country by requiring gangs to protect market share and to take out competition. Look at prohibition and the gangs formed by people like Capone who committed acts like the valentines day massacre.

I would bet that the war on drugs causes more problems and is more expensive then just legalizing and helping people who become addicts. Think about how much we spend a year to keep someone found with a bunch of drugs in prison.

More proof that government is inefficient and stupid... the war on drugs.

I never understood why drugs were illegal in the first place. It's not the governments job to protect you from yourself. If you want to be a crack addict then fine. The only stipulation should be that if you require medical care for health reasons associated with drugs then you are SOL.

I highly doubt that we will see an influx of new methheads and whatnot if the government legalized drugs. People are going to do drugs anyway, legal or not. But making drugs legal will put a nail in the coffin for all of these violent gangs and cartels and whatnot to spread their violence in an attempt to smuggle drugs around the country.
