The National Legal and Policy Center is a right wing front group that is used to launch vague political attacks like this for fundraising purposes and to promote right wing memes. It was founded by Richard Mellon Scaife, who was the principal financier of the “Arkansas Project” and who also financed Judicial Watch, and several other right wing groups whose speciality seems to be inventing and inserting these tropes in right wing media and social media. Like most of these vaguely named mysterious attack groups, they count on the audience taking what they say at face value (because it mirror’s the audience’s prejudices). The FBI obtained successive warrants to spy on Carter Page and used informant Stefan Halper to gather information on other Trump campaign figures. The FBI sent an undercover agent, alias “Azra Turk” to London to tease information out of a Papadopoulos. Were there more? Dirty Bob Mueller had access to the results of the FBI’s spying, and Dirty Bob could not establish that there was any conspiracy or coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign. Even with a full two year investigation and full prosecutor powers, Dirty Bob could not find that ANY American took part in any such conspiracy. Hopefully Horowitz will fill in more of the story of how the Obama Administration came to illegally spy on an American Presidential campaign, and then it's holdovers continued to spy on the new Administration, coordinating with the Fake News Media to try to drive him from office.
