Ok...I remember both now. Just trying to find the related documents, which I presume are public.

Here's a reasonable summary of the current state and importance of the McGahn case...

    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/13/us/politics/mcgahn-trump-congress-lawsuit.html

@MrTLegal and I were stunned that Friday when we read the scope of the argument the Trump DOJ was making..

    SNIP
Judge Karen Henderson pointedly asked the Justice Department lawyer whether the administration believes the House could never ask the courts to enforce a subpoena against the executive branch.

“That is our position, your honor,” Mooppan said.

Dems shelved their subpoena’s and forcing McGahn to testify will only result in executive privilege being used.

They still shelved all their other subpoenas and sent strongly worded letters instead.

The Don McGahn case is still ongoing and it is the only judicial ruling on the issue of Absolute Immunity, to date.

Opinion with no teeth, just like the 7 times Obama violated the law according to the GAO.

Are you going to keep making bogus and debunked "arguments"?

    Perhaps you're a Russian bot?

Dude. Change your username. This is such a stupid post. The Executive Branch does not dictate to the Judiciary, and for the Legislature to follow along (in your scenario) completes the circle of stupidity you just shared. Your post is horrible. Read it again.

You allowed Trump to be a dictator in your ridiculous scenario and that everyone is following along. Seriously?

    Quit with the dumb posts.

... and you started your post with, "You're cherry-picking."

Again... I gave the direct video, links from WaPo, and more and you just wrote that crap.

It was a perfectly fine post....

Do you support the current DOJ argument that the Judiciary has no role in disputes between the Exec and Legislative branches??

Of course the Judiciary will decide if the Judiciary can decide, but it's the argument that is ridiculous.

He wasn't because those laws aren't High Crimes or Misdemeanors, they are administrative. Nice try, but no Ceegar.

LOL... so let me get this straight.

Back when there were no laws broken and it was just general Abuse of Power, there were no HC or M....

Now that there is a law broken related to one of the Articles, it's just not one of those "important" laws...

    Gotcha!!

    ....What?

Trump argued before a federal judge (multiple, in fact) that the Judicial Branch of the Government can never intervene in a lawsuit filed by Congress to enforce a subpoena.

No it's a damn stupid post.

Everyone knows about the Separation of Powers that posts on a political board, unless they are an absolute moron. I don't care what the Trump Executive Branch claims (or what you claim they claim), it's not how the system works and Schiff, Pelosi, Naddler, et al... know this. You are making a nonsensical argument, because the Democrats in the House screwed this all up. They had complete power and control to engage the judiciary to see if Trump's Executive Privilege was legit or not and they 100% refused.

SO WHAT? Damn... read my above post and get the nonsense posts out of this forum. I have learned to expect this from EgoBoy, but now you are doing it too.

    What a waste of energy.

Again... simple question... nothing to do with Dems or the current impeachment...

Do you support the current DOJ argument that the Judiciary has no role in disputes between the Exec and Legislative branches??
