~ Sadly many of us did not pay enough attention to Ross Perot. We likely missed a great opportunity to throw Capitola Hill into a panic.
I remember voting for Ralph Nader. :aww:

I have very similar voting history. I only vote R/D to vote against an incumbent. I vote for as many (L) party peeps as I can.

I think if most people took a minute, they’d realize they have more in common with libertarians than either of the other puke shows.

~ You were paying attention far before me. I actually started looking and learning about early 1990's — more so after 9-11 ...

Don't you mean "voted against", because "eradicated" is a throw back to Stalin's rhetoric.

Or, disgust-o-cats. Let’s start electing cat people. We are more logical, no?

I campaigned for Perot in 92. Didn't vote for him though. Katie Couric exposed him as a hothead.

The leading libertarian is Rand Paul. And Rand Paul is a total ass. Ron Paul is a nice guy but off his rocker.

Social libertarian is one thing. But fiscal libertarians are nuts. For example, don't pass pollution laws. Let the courts handle it. LOL! It would destroy the justice system and turn the environment into a toxic waste dump.

Rand Paul is not a libertarian. I have no desire to adopt their entire platform, but it would be great if we call all agree that we should live and let live. Do whatever you want, as long as it doesn’t harm me, or other people.

Generically speaking, it’s a very simple and elegant way to live life.

I think you’re correct. But the Libertarians have a money problem. Biden raised and spent 1.624 billion, Trump 1.088 billion to Libertarian Jorgensen’s almost 3 million. You’re not going to get much media attention or have a chance being out spent 2.7 billion by the major parties to 3 million.

    https://www.opensecrets.org/2020-presidential-race

Then there’s the presidential debates. Although Jorgensen was on all 50 state ballots, she wasn’t allowed in the debates. The main reason the two major parties took the debates away from the League of Women’s Voters was they allow Ross Perot to participate in them. The two major parties vowed never again, so they formed their bipartisan presidential debate commission.

I find that ironic, a bipartisan presidential debate commission formed to keep third party and independents from participating, now the Republicans won’t. That’s karma.

Yeah, once they figured out a third party could break through by discussing reality, they closed ranks to ensure it never happens again.

We voters are just pawns on the political chessboard to be moved around by the two major parties at their will and bidding. A necessary evil in the grand scheme of things. The two major parties are very good at making us think we count, when we don’t. The two major parties have a monopoly on our election system. They’re not about to give it up. Republicans and Democrats write our election laws and they do so as a mutual protection act. If there’s one thing both monopolistic parties agree on, no viable third party will ever rise. They’ll do anything to keep their monopoly of our election system

No. Communism needs to be eradicated, just like fascism.

~ So far that has not been happening. In fact it is more obvious now that Communism has infiltrated the USA likely more than we realize. :blankstare:'
