Sorry for the condescending title, but I had to do something to click on my thread. Hi, I'm... well obviously a teenager, 17 to be exact. Almost 18, I realized a little while ago that I am sadly not up to date on current events or political going ons. I thought that here I could keep up to date while expressing my views with a similar or dissimilar audience, and hopefully expand my vision or teach a new view to someone else. As one of today's generation, I find that teenagers are sadly not politically active or even aware, and I try to be a maverick in my thinking, and hopefully I have some good debates with you all!

Thank you for allowing me to show my hope already. You are assuming two things, which are very wrong and very insulting. The first assumption is that only teenagers have "plenty left to learn about life and politics". Nobody stops learning, as Socrates once said "the only thing I know is that I don't know." The second is that you are assuming that because of my youth, I have no valuable insight or original ideas. I cannot provide any useful thoughts or knowledge to someone so highly intelligent as yourself merely because I am still in high school. Wisdom is not gained through age, but experience. I will admit, generally you have more experience as you get older, but age does not grant an automatic superior reasoning or knowledge.

Man to be a teen again! When I was 17 I umm' married, had to, lol, and since I didn't have a education yet, I joined the US Army (101st Airborne). Anyway I hope to see you soon in the forum ~ oh the marriage? She divorced me when I was in basic, back then the army was equal to child molesters in popularity.
