I will certainly be an oddball here as I -you may have guessed from my name- am a monarchist; and not only that, an American monarchist. I am a staunch traditionalist and will in my arguments here advocate a rather far-right point of view. I look forward to the discussions I will be having here as I thoroughly love politics and above all else, a good debate.
What royal family do you consider for USA ? Good for me I have not anymore my Robespierre profilpicture.
Perhaps I should clarify my position a little bit, I am a monarchist in America and do not simply advocate for a monarchy here. I want monarchs everywhere. There are a few different possibilities in that we could simply take a member of the House of Windsor (current ruling family in the UK), we could take a Jacobin claim (current claimant is Franz, Duke of Bavaria), a member of the House of Hohenzollern(of Prussia/Germany as Prince Henry of Prussia was offered the American throne), or a descendant of George Washington.
Ok. We would disagree however, despite my username is a nobility tittle, I'm not pro monarchy, neither I'm against. I'm for things who work. I'm not american, for my country I advocate for popular initiative like in Switzerland. What the utility you find in monarchy ? You're for what kind of monarchy ? One where the monarch is almost only decorative or for a one where the king/queen have an active role ?
I'd also like to welcome you and am interested in your views on the wide range of subjects that are discussed here
Further, because I did not enumerate on all of your questions (as I answered on my phone at work and couldn't spare enough time) I shall expand upon them. Why do I like Monarchy? I come from a traditionalist point of view. I believe a monarch is the ultimate identity of a nation in that his ancestors founded the nation, built the nation, fought for the nation, and preserved the nation. I also like the thought of a leader who is himself above the dirty world of day-to-day politics and whose only goal is to see his country's standing in the world strengthened. Also, to illustrate my earlier response, the German Empire model: Now, I know my arguments aren't perfect (and I'm trying to be brief), but, I can clarify any points you wish to bring up.
How does that apply to a "nation of immigrants (which almost all modern Western nations are these days)"? You have a significant percentage of most Western nation's population that has no ancestral, or historical link to the nation they are now citizens in. Why should they care about that country's monarchy?
That is a major problem and in my view, any immigrant should assimilate and fully join the culture of his chosen nation; otherwise, he should get out and never return. Borders, language, and culture are the ingredients for a stable and successful nation-state; why should anyone who jeopardizes those three things be allowed in?
As if that would be any different than the standard run of the mill elected politician. You should also note that the system I advocate for still puts most of the power in the hands of elected officials. I'll also put to you a challenge: you name 1 good elected politician and I'll name 5 bad ones, and you name 1 bad monarch and I'll name 5 good ones.
If you're not in the UK that isn't going to work, because I won't know any of your politicians or monarchs. All I know is that our monarch isn't very smart.
Welcome to the forum. Your wish is just that a pipe dream wish. No western nation or people will rule again. We surrendered to the invasions long ago. But you can always dream I guess.
That is why I look to the east. The countries of Albania, Serbia, Romania, Montenegro, and Georgia all have sizable monarchist movements and are very nationalistic.
Some of those are already caving in to the NWO gang. But still a good idea I guess if your young enough to get set up.
