Most of the recent surge of immigrants escaping the harsh and inhuman conditions of place like Honduras and El Salvador is in part Trump's fault for threatening to build a wall. Many of these people have rushed to the border because of that threat. Send more judges to process them, send more border guards, put up fences where they need them, fix the economic depression in Central America. There you do, roll with it.

Even the ones who migrated from Asia are foreigners

No wall resolves the problem of illegal immigration. Only a serious effort toward immigration reform will accomplish that.

There are several changes to our laws that are needed

But just enforcing the laws we have and building the wall to keep new illegals out would be a big help

We don't need a 2,000 mile long wall.

Drones and sensors work just fine, no artillery needed.

When Obama kept Children caged, I do not recall the anger when he boasted he is the all time kicker back president.

    Children locked up by Obama

Drones and sensors don't stop anyone, they just tell them they are there.

The wall is not going to be 2,000 miles long

Only about 600 miles total where needed

It seems no matter how many times we say it that important fact never penitrates the collective thick liberal skull

WE had an actual expert on that topic posting for a time and he says that is not true. He did not advise artillery but did recommend the fence as constructed by Trump

Where is the deterrence effect to be had? Those who are crossing into the united states illegally do not even know what a basic computer is, much less what sensors and drones are.

Perhaps instead the united states should make every effort to inform those in foreign nations that anyone attempting to cross the border illegally will be met with deadly force in response, even if they are seeking aid. Warn the families that if they attempt to cross, they will be separated from their children and never be reunited. Scare the weaker-willed individuals away from entering. Perhaps lay out some cadavers at various illegal crossing points to really sell the message that they are not wanted and will not be accepted.

How about they tell us how well drones and sensors work in our own cities??

We need drones and sensors but must be combined with a very mobil force to physically apprehend the intruders

What more do they need to know? Border patrol is well equipped with weapons and vehicles.

Well uh.... it's the border security on OUR side of the border that's familiar with the technology. Whether or not those crossing the border are familiar with drones and sensors have no bearing on it whatsoever.

How can you sound very certain? Seems what we have not totally tried is the wall. So far we do not find illegals crawling over the wall.
